YAMPAGLIA: TAXES ARE TOO HIGH – STOP THE ROLLING REASSESSMENTS!
DEMOCRATS REMIND NA VOTERS WHO IS RAISING TAXES AND WHO ISN’T!

In a mailing scheduled to hit mailboxes this weekend, the Yampaglia campaign
is reminding voters which party has historically raised property taxes and
who has opposed the intrusive and unpopular policy of these intrusive and
unwarranted rolling reassessments.

“I ran in 2016 to give voters a different point-of-view when it comes to
these rolling reassessments. If we’re successful on Tuesday I’ll have the
votes on the Borough Council necessary to overturn this policy,” offered the
four-term Democrats and ranking member of the North Arlington Borough
Council.

Democrats have pointed out time and time again that local Democrats have
opposed these reassessments while the Republicans have enthusiastically
endorsed this incredibly unpopular position.

Democrats believe this is the central issue in this campaign for Mayor and
Council.

“We have been specific and issue-oriented the entire campaign. We have not
been distracted in our message, motives and objectives. We are the one team
that opposes the rolling reassessments,” stated Yampaglia while at a senior
event on Friday.

“We know these reassessments are wildly unpopular. We know this because
homeowners and especially seniors on fixed incomes tell us this when we
knock on their door.”

Yampaglia pointed to his fiscally conservative record as a councilman for
the past 10 years as evidence he is most ready to become our next mayor.

“I have a record of protecting homeowners and putting North Arlington first.
I have opposed tax hikes for more than a decade. I am the fiscal
conservative in this race for mayor,” stated the life-long resident and
attorney who has a private practice in neighboring Rutherford.
