An Open Letter to the Residents of North Arlington

October 11, 2018

Dear Borough Resident:

Mark YampagliaAs you know we lost our Mayor Joseph Bianchi on Wednesday after a brave and long bout with cancer at the age of 77.

It is times like this we must come together as a community and remember all that Mayor Bianchi has done for North Arlington in his numerous roles as a spirited volunteer, elected official, business owner, friend and neighbor.

I have been blessed to serve with him over these last 10 years as a councilman and he will be surly missed by our employees, colleagues, borough officials, board members and the hundreds of volunteers that make North Arlington so unique and special.

It is in these times of sorrow and condolence that we need to realize what really matters in life.

Mayor Bianchi represented the North Arlington brand with pride and distinction.

He was a goodwill ambassador for this community and he will be forever remembered as a selfless public advocate for our town.

I have temporarily suspended my campaign as we celebrate his life and passing.

This is a time of community healing and that can only occur with a sense of unity and pride we all share.

Mayor Joe Bianchi was a North Arlington original and I will miss him.

His example has blazed a new standard of community service and pride.

Councilman Mark Yampaglia, ESQ
Borough of North Arlington
