JOSH GOTTHEIMER: NEW JERSEY’S NEXT GOVERNOR?

Pragmatic, Problem-Solving Democrat Gaining Momentum in Home County of Bergen!

NORTH ARLINGTON – Bergen County, the largest of all twenty-one NJ counties has not elected a governor in the modern age, but that can all end in 2025 as Rep. Josh Gottheimer makes that case for the state’s most diversified of constituencies.

While the Congressman is expected to be easily reelected this November to another term of office in the US House of Representatives, political observers and backers of the Bergen Democrat believe he is the most logical successor to current Governor Phil Murphy, who is term limited.

Democrats in North Arlington are rooting for a statewide run, as they view Gottheimer as the best bet for small towns who make-up a large part of the Garden State’s 567 municipalities.

Already cobbling considerable support in Bergen, Hudson, and now Passaic counties, North Arlington Democrats are impressed with the record, demeanor and energy of this emerging political star.

“Congressman Gottheimer represents the working class values of North Arlington that reaches across the political aisle to get things done. His energy and vision for the state is impressive. He understands the need to build coalitions and consensus and I will emulate his style of governance should voters select me come November 5th,” offered first time candidate John Balwierczak, a graduate of North Arlington High School.

“His fundraising ability is without peer. His knowledge of local, county, state and federal governance makes him a reliable selection to succeed Governor Murphy come January of 2026.”

“We have a very important election in two months and if all goes as planned, it would be an honor to have him lead the Democratic ticket come 2025. I can’t imagine a more compelling candidacy that voters will embrace.”

Democrats locally are seeking to break the current GOP stranglehold on local government as they monopolize all seven seats on the North Arlington Mayor and Council. No Democrat has served since 2019 and no Democrat has been elected locally in eight years.

Balwierczak and his running-mate John Yampaglia plan to change all that come November 5th.

The local Democrats are running primarily to end the overdevelopment housing scheme of both Republicans Fitzhenry and Sheedy.

“We are the North Arlington First team. We are the team protecting North Arlington’s values of remaining small, safe and suburban while our opponents continue down this road of gentrification, constant construction of apartment dwellings with hundreds more to come, increased density, decreased residential parking and the final insult, increased taxes supported by the incumbents.”

Rep. Josh Gottheimer was born in 1975; graduated with a B.A., University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pa., 1997; J.D., Harvard Law School, Cambridge, Mass., 2004; served as special assistant and speechwriter for President William J. Clinton, 1998-2001; staffer, Wesley Clark presidential campaign, 2004; staffer, John Kerry presidential campaign, 2004; business executive; senior counselor to the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, 2010-2012; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Fifteenth and to the three succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2017-present).

He is currently seeking his fifth term of office in the House of Representatives.
