DUNKIN DONUTS LIMITING THOSE UNDER 18 BETWEEN 2-3 PM ON WEEKDAYS

In an obvious response to heavy student foot traffic, you won’t be able to shop at the popular Ridge Road venue unless with an adult for that hour.

NORTH ARLINGTON – Most businesses welcome more traffic and customers, but in the case of DUNKIN DONUTS, it seems the longtime coffee giant wants to limit those under 18 during that high volume hour, after school closes for the day.

DUNKIN, always busy and bustling, recently posted this sign on the door and it will be interesting to see how they enforce this unusual request.

Will there be someone checking ID’s, or will customers be on the “honor” system?

For limiting those under 18 unless with an adult, could you have a scenario in which an 18-year old student would be the adult and could enter with a seventeen year old school mate?

For adult is not defined in the posting, and one would assume someone, anyone who is eighteen?

This new policy we assume will end after school closes for the summer, and start-up again in September?

DUNKIN is one of North Arlington’s most popular destinations along Ridge Road, just steps from three educational facilities, two public and one parochial (Queen of Peace) and on the same side of the street as the Free Public Library.

It will be interesting to see

how things work out.
