FITZHENERY & SHEEDY: THE “MASTERS OF MASSIVE OVERDEVELOPMENT” HERE IN NORTH ARLINGTON!
Enabling developers and special interests, while ignoring homeowners, tenants and seniors!
Pronti’s “puppets” have accomplished little, if nothing at all for nearly a decade!
NORTH ARLINGTON – The embedded incumbents in this race for reelection seem to be getting hot around the collar as the prospect of defeat for the first time in eight years is clearly self-evident.
For Sheedy, her understanding of what a council member does was brought to full view in a rare post seen here.
Not constructing a budget, or grants writing, or drafting resolutions and ordinances, or cutting spending and streamlining expenditures. No, those responsibilities are not on her radar screen as she is much more interested in the ribbon-cutting role of this part-time elected official who is paid to attend a single meeting a month.
Clearly not a policy wonk by any standard, Sheedy is much more interested in being a show horse versus a work horse. 
For after a decade of service, what sustainable policy or accomplishment has she achieved other than attending dances, picnics, or holiday events where she gets her picture taken and leaves the actual work of these events to others?
For Sheedy is a double-dipper, that’s being on two public payrolls at the same time, a dual-job holder.
Her imprint and impact on our local government is almost invisible.
For not only is that imprint invisible, but her desire to campaign is equally dismal as she would have to explain her votes to raise property taxes in 2024 or the multitude of “yes” votes to construct hundreds of apartments along Ridge Road with more to come for River Road, Schuyler Avenue and the Belleville Turnpike. For she would rather let the real estate agent Mayor known as Pronti be her surrogate and personal mouth piece.
For it would be difficult, if not impossible to explain the density, traffic, congestion, or the obvious urbanization of North Arlington on her watch!
For Sheedy is so detached from political reality, she demanded she be paid $500 last year to work election day in a race there was no competition! She was paid $500 to do nothing!
A virtual no-show in a contest with no opponents!
And if that wasn’t enough, both Allison and her buddy Brian Fitzhenry voted themselves hefty council pay hikes not once, but four years running!
We wonder how much Sheedy will demand the GOP pay her this year just to show up on Tuesday?
And what about that dilapidated political clubhouse owned by the very developer who wants to build 24 apartments where the Italian Villa currently sits empty, dormant and vacant?
For does her campaign pay rent for that space?
Her campaign with running-mate Brian Fitzhenry use that facility for gatherings and meetings.
Do the Republicans have a certificate of occupancy?
Is this another example of the Republican renaissance?
Can you say “conflict of interest” three times fast?
North Arlington voters have a right before the election to know exactly what is this mystery relationship between this developer, who is also a donor!
And if anyone doesn’t know it already, who is your “master,” Councilwoman Sheedy?
Have you ever voted once, just once against anything the real estate agent mayor known as Pronti proposed?
Once?
Just once?
For Sheedy is the true pawn and her decade-old record of voting “yes” 100% of the time bears that out.
She is the classic political puppet, with no record or responsibilities except to vote yes!
Mayor Pronti: Councilwoman how do you vote? Yes, Mr. Mayor!
Mayor Pronti: I say jump Councilwoman Sheedy! How high Mr. Mayor? 
And as for Brian Fitzhenry, who decided long ago campaigning for reelection is for suckers, told residents he had no interest in campaigning and that “everyone knows me.”
What they know is your pathetic record of being another Pronti rubber stamp, lacking the guts or integrity to stand up to this egomaniac, a tool for real estate interests who rules the council with an iron hand!
For the loss of both of these failed incumbents will impact nothing, except the chorus of six voting yes will be reduced to a chorus of just four!
For it is laughable that these two backbenchers would question anyone’s desire to become an elected official.
There is a reason Fitzhenry has lost previously for council in 2004 and seems on his way to his fourth political loss.
And how about his failed record of raising taxes both on the Borough Council and the Board of Education?
He raised school taxes every year he served on the Board of Education as test scores and academic achievement mired in his own mediocrity!
This island of misfit elected officials, who lack any relationship with county, state or federal partners is the reason they can’t get out of their own way when it comes to senior housing, as this scam known as “private senior housing,” forty 650 square foot shoe box apartments is the solution to this 50-year old broken promise?
This self-delusion that this is the best North Arlington has to offer is silly and embarrassing.
For Pronti is not George Washington, he isn’t even George Jefferson, and Fitzhenry & Sheedy would never be mistaken for Socrates or Plato!
And for the phantom scribes who run the Republican Club, otherwise known as the MAGA morons, who are they to viciously attack anyone?
These political flame throwers are barely literate in their posts and commentary as they can’t seem to go a moment not personally attacking two outstanding individuals in John Balwierczak and John Yampaglia.
We know why they hate Mr. Balwierczak.
Because he had the courage to expose the local GOP for what it is, another EnCap style, political clown car in the image of Donald Trump!
And what about credentials?
John Yampaglia earned a BA as well as a Master’s, what advanced degree does either Fitzhenry or Sheedy possess?
For the so-called competence and record of this wholly-owned subsidiary of out-of-town developer interest is fairly obvious.
