REPUBLICAN PLANNING BOARD EXPECTED TO APPROVE 17 RESIDENTIAL UNITS TUESDAY NIGHT!
More overdevelopment despite calls by residents to end the traffic & congestion along Ridge Road.
PRONTI 100% BEHIND THE PROJECT, BOROUGH COUNCIL REMAINS MUM!
NORTH ARLINGTON – As predicted, the old Italian Villa property is apparently set for demolition once again as the North Arlington Planning Board is expected to approve 17 residential units with an additional 1,700 square feet of commercial ground space.
The applicant is DT Construction, a campaign contributor to local NA Republicans.
The property to the immediate right is occupied by the North Arlington Republican Club for the last several years. Questions were raised in the 2024 campaign if the GOP pays rent for that facility.
Republicans never responded to those inquiries.
The meeting will be held at Borough Hall, located at 214 Ridge Road beginning at 7:00 PM.
All residents are urged to attend and comment on this application.
Observers predicted that had Republicans won last November, that renewed efforts to demolish the building would accelerate with another plan for even more apartments along Ridge Road.
Here you will see the backlash to the proposal by residents online as well as Mayor Dan Pronti enthusiastically supporting more apartments.
Elections do have consequences.
Please see various comments from residents online as well as Mayor Pronti endorsing the proposal.
