Dear Graduate:
Congratulations on your graduation from North Arlington High School, an outstanding educational venue in every way!
Why do I say that?
Because I too graduated from NAHS and had opportunity to engage excellent teachers, mentors and fellow students who share an optimism I still have today.
North Arlington HS provided me with the tools to challenge myself and meet my educational goals and objectives which led to me becoming a local attorney in Rutherford while attaining my college degree from FDU and my JD from The Touro School of Law.
It was my time at NAHS that guided my path to become a responsible member of society, to understand the importance of hard work, striving for more and setting goals both in my personal and public lives.
Because of my schooling at NA, I was awarded Phi Beta Kappa status and was able to go on and start my own law firm and set out a life of public service as a Municipal Defender and member of the North Arlington Mayor & Council since 2005!
I ask that you challenge yourself and strive for greatness. Become entrepreneurial in body and spirit and thank your parents and loved one’s for the support system they provided you.
Learn to save and prepare, to become a responsible citizen, neighbor, brother, sister, colleague, husband or wife!
While it just may seem your life has only just begun, it is a precious gift from God not to be squandered or abused. Take each day as something special and unique and don’t be afraid to fail!
Take your struggles head-on; be honest with yourself and others. Display empathy and kindness to all and always try to be the best at whatever it is you decide to become!
Live life!
Be loving!
Be reliable.
Be prompt and be cautious.
And most of all; be yourself!
Congratulations and good luck in all life’s endeavors.
Best Regards,
