Del Russo & DeCicco claim property taxes are “stable” after another hike for NA homeowners!
Raising taxes didn’t stabilize the rate, it increased!
Another lost lawsuit by Pronti, Del Russo & DeCicco on affordable housing!
NORTH ARLINGTON – Mayor Dan Pronti and his two council puppets are in apparent political denial as they continue to lie to residents that property taxes in North Arlington are not increasing due to rolling reassessments supported by incumbents Del Russo & DeCicco.
For the illusion that property taxes have not increased has been replaced by the notion of “stabilized taxes,” whatever that means! 
There is one reason why property taxes are increasing and that’s the Republican, “rolling reassessments” that are supported by incumbents Del Russo & DeCicco and opposed by challengers John Balwierczak and Cengiz “Jim” Sever. 
Nevertheless, Dan Pronti who is not on the ballot insists on promoting this lie to taxpayers.
Petrified by the thought of Democrats occupying just two places on the six-member council, the Republicans would still have a 4-2 majority and could still do pretty much what they please, but the difference would be a sense of accountability and their political propaganda that would need to be verified as the truth!
Outright lies like the “free” water fountain would be scrutinized for the $238,800 expenditure it has become and supported by Del Russo and DeCicco. 
As predicted, Pronti’s folly of challenging the state of New Jersey with a bogus lawsuit that was dismissed affirms the legislature’s authority to enforce the Mount Laurel doctrine. 
On October 2, 2025, Judge Robert Lougy rejected a lawsuit by North Arlington that had challenged NJ’s Affordable Housing Reform Law.
Once again, North Arlington is on the wrong side of another failed lawsuit and untold thousands wasted on yet another failed lawsuit!
North Arlington will now be legally obligated to comply with “Fourth Round” mandates they have tried to avoid for years!
And how much money was wasted on legal fees that are impacting our finances and NA’s future?
Since January of 2024, North Arlington is on the hook for nearly $400,000 in legal fees to say nothing of the $238,800 installation of the so-called, free water fountain or the $200,000 out of court settlement with former employee Irene Colao who accused North Arlington of a hostile work place as well as outright racism as indicated in her initial complaint here. Between the $400,000 in legal fees, $200,000 in this civil settlement and another $238,800 for the water fountain installation, that’s nearly $900,000 in squandered expenditures! 
Is it any wonder why property taxes are exploding while Del Russo & DeCicco claim property taxes are stable?
Even in East Rutherford residents are complaining about the same exact issues such as overdevelopment and random reassessments here in NA!
Regardless of party, these issues are real and Pronti, Del Russo & DeCicco are lying to residents each and every day!
