“FREE” FOUNTAIN TO COST $238,800 TO INSTALL!
PRONTI TELLS JUST HALF OF THE STORY, SPENDING SPREE CONTINUES!
NORTH ARLINGTON – According to Mayor Dan Pronti, a water fountain being installed on River Road at the Danny Morris Park and Firehouse is apparently free, as “unnamed developers” donated the structure.
As usual, no details or specifics were provided as to which developers made this donation, if they do business in the community or the actual cost of the fountain purchased.
Here is a video of Pronti “explaining” the donation but never mentioning the cost of installation.
Doesn’t sound “free” to taxpayers flipping the bill, Dan!
What we do know is that the installation of this fountain will cost $238,800 based on a resolution passed by the all-Republican Mayor and Council back in May of 2025.
Here’s the resolution and the vendor who was awarded the contract:
Some residents were so impressed with the fountain, please note the comments here.

As long as you have a rubber stamp council with the likes of Kirk Del Russo and Amanda DeCicco, nothing will be scrutinized and thoroughly reviewed.
This is just another reason we need two Democrats on the Borough Council to offer the oversight necessary to ensure fiscal integrity and transparency.
Nothing is for free Dan.
$238,800 is plenty of money for a fountain, to say nothing of the maintenance of such a peculiar item.
Like the $200,000 out-of-court settlement to a former library employee, when will taxpayers be told the full cost of this very questionable expenditure to say the least?
In this case, why did North Arlington settle out of court?
How about a single detail as to what is going on at the Library?
Crickets.
By the way, did Del Russo or DeCicco even review the actual cost to residents?
For neither one has any business being on the Borough Council.
For they lead from the back of the line.
Lazy.
Picking up a check to attend one (1) meeting a month!
Two “yes” votes for anything and everything Pronti wants.
Pronti’s puppets!
