Holiday Party Hosted by US Congressman William “Bill” Pascrell

North Arlington Democrats join in the festivities at the Congressional District Offices in Paterson

NORTH ARLINGTON – John Balwierczak and John Yampaglia, who will be seeking the Democratic nomination for Borough Council here in North Arlington recently visited the office of US Congressman William “Bill” Pascrell (D-9) as the fourteen-term member is expected to seek a record fifteenth-term in 2024. All three will run in the Democratic organization column here in Bergen County. Balwierczak and Yampaglia were joined by longtime Democratic municipal chairman Nick Antonicello, who was recently elected to the Hall of Fame of the Democratic Committee of Bergen County for his long service to the party. He currently serves as a deputy chief for the security detail of the New Jersey Senate. Antonicello is seen here speaking with Pascrell and introducing Balwierczak to the Congressman, who also served in the New Jersey General Assembly, Senate and as mayor of the city of Paterson.                                                                                                                                                                                              Both Yampaglia and Balwierczak look forward to campaigning with Pascrell in North Arlington during the fall contest and had high praise for the longtime Democratic icon.“North Arlington has a friend in Bill Pascrell and his ability to secure federal funding for municipalities like our community, and is crucial in ensuring a relationship with his office. Working with elected officials from the county, state and federal levels is important for a strong local government. That will be something we intend to emphasize to voters in 2024,” noted both Balwierczak and Yampaglia. “Working together with our federal partners like the Congressman is what voters demand and expect. North Arlington needs to develop those kinds of intergovernmental allies and we believe that’s a positive step in the right direction.” The North Arlington duo plan to gather more signatures and meet in the coming weeks and months as the deadline approaches to file their candidacies for borough council.“This will be a unity effort. We will leave the divisiveness and political pettiness to others,” noted both Yampaglia and Balwierczak.
