JAM PACKED VENETIAN SHOWCASES GOVERNOR PHIL MURPHY AT ANNUAL BERGEN DEMOCRATIC GALA

JAM PACKED VENETIAN SHOWCASES GOVERNOR PHIL MURPHY AT ANNUAL BERGEN DEMOCRATIC GALA!

Locals pick-up the endorsement of Governor, Assemblymember Clinton Calabrese, NA fundraiser scheduled for Monday May 20th!

GARFIELD – Bergen County Democrats jammed the popular Venetian in Garfield for the annual spring gala, which brought out the likes of New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and a slew of Democratic elected officials including Congressman Josh Gottheimer (D-5), Bergen County Executive James Tedesco, Commissioner Steve Tanelli of North Arlington as well as Assembly members Clinton Calabrese (D-36) of Cliffside Park and Gary Schaer (D-36) of the City of Passaic.

Hosted by Paul Juliano, the chairman of the Bergen County Democratic Committee, North Arlington Democrats in attendance included former council member Robert Myers, longtime Democratic Municipal Chairman Nick Antonicello, Bergen County Utilities Authority Commissioner and former mayor Peter C. Massa as well this year’s Democratic ticket of John Balwierczak and John Yampaglia who shocked many political observers when they secured over 300 verified signatures of support to make their way to the June Democratic Primary ballot.

According to sources, Balwierczak and Yampaglia filed the most petitions of any candidate for municipal office in either the Democratic or Republican parties in Bergen County.

Both candidates continue to campaign door-to-door for a second round of canvassing and will host a fundraiser on May 20th at the La Venere Ristorante located on Schuyler Avenue in North Arlington beginning at 6 PM and tickets are $100 for an authentic Italian dinner and dessert.

Those interested in attending are urged to RSVP by calling (201) 937-4277 and you can pay at the door. Please make checks payable to “The North Arlington Democratic Committee.”

The event is being co-hosted by Bergen County Democratic Committee Chairman Paul Juliano and local leader Nick Antonicello.

All interested residents are invited.

Both Balwierczak and Yampaglia were proud to accept the endorsement of both Governor Phil Murphy and Assemblymember Clinton Calabrese.

Calabrese represents North Arlington in the New Jersey General Assembly.

“The Democratic Party is unified and we’re all working together to produce a local victory here in North Arlington. We are proud to have the support of both Governor Murphy and Assemblymember Calabrese,” offered the challengers.

“The issues are obvious. Overdevelopment, gentrification, density, traffic and the proliferation of apartment dwellings along Ridge Road supported by Fitzhenry and Sheedy. Voters want responsible two-party government and reject the notion of one-party, partisan politics in which only Republicans are part of the community equation. We urge residents to come to our first fundraiser and hear and see why we think keeping North Arlington small, safe and suburban is what residents really want and demand.”
