COUNCIL CANDIDATE MEETS GOVERNOR PHIL MURPHY!
Retired CFO will compliment a New Democratic Coalition!
North Arlington Democratic council candidate Josie Papile met tonight with
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy who has endorsed the local ticket to unseat
GOP incumbents Joe Bianchi, Brian Fitzhenry and Allison Sheedy.
Papile met Murphy in Lyndhurst tonight promoting the area’s Democratic
candidates for local and county offices.
A graduate of North Arlington HS and former editor of the Viking Saga;
Papile is making her first bid for public office.
A longtime Arlington Boulevard homeowner, Papile is a recently retired
corporate CFO with Paragon Sports and former reporter with the Hudson
Dispatch where she covered the court system in Hackensack, New Jersey.
An avid runner, Papile could become the third female Democrat to serve as a
member of the Mayor and Council.
“Josie has the right kind of resume and record in finance that is in great
demand at the local level. She will ask the right questions and has the
skill set to make an impact on the Municipal Budget in the area of
expenditures, borrowing and managing costs on behalf of homeowners,” noted
Councilman Mark Yampaglia, her running-mate and candidate for mayor of North
Arlington.
All three Democrats are college graduates and two of the three hold advanced
degrees. Massa has a Master’s while Yampaglia has a Master’s as well as a
law degree from the Touro School of Law. The four-term councilman is in
private practice in Rutherford.
