Life-long North Arlington resident and local attorney Mark Yampaglia, a current member of the Mayor and Council has enthusiastically endorsed the candidacy of Phil Murphy as New Jersey’s next governor.
In an endorsing the former Ambassador to Germany, Yampaglia described Murphy as “the hope an change North Arlington and New Jersey needs.”
“North Arlington for the first time will have real access and a true ally in the Governor’s Office with Phil Murphy leading the Garden State. The disastrous record of Chris Christie has cost North Arlington literally millions in lost financial aid that could have been used to pave streets or provide tax relief for homeowners. Sadly, Chris Christie doesn’t care about North Arlington and neither does his hand-picked candidate, Kim Guadagno.”
“The majority of the Borough Council is helping and assisting a candidate that has hurt North Arlington financially and has demonstrated an animosity to small municipalities like North Arlington. We don’t need a third Christie term hurting NA, we need a first term for Phil Murphy working with local municipalities to maximize assistance from the state,” offered Yampaglia, a graduate of NAHS.
“The majority of North Arlington residents strongly disagree with the direction of Christie and the local Republicans. We now have an opportunity to right the course and with a new Democratic majority on the Borough Council, form the necessary partnerships with state government to move our community forward,” said Yampaglia.
