MASSIVE OVERDEVELOPMENT BY FITZHENRY AND SHEEDY LEADS TO A LACK OF PARKING FOR NA RESIDENTS!

FITZHENRY AND SHEEDY ENTHUSIASTICALLY RAISE PROPERTY TAXES, AND LET THE HOMEOWNER BE DAMNED!

Candidates John Balwierczak and John Yampaglia being trolled and followed as they campaign door-to-door Thursday afternoon!

NORTH ARLINGTON – With about ten days to go before the Tuesday general election, Democrats Balwierczak and Yampaglia found themselves being trolled by a prominent local Republican according to sources Thursday afternoon.

“We know who it is, and if it continues we will weigh our legal options,” noted John Balwierczak who believes the chances of an upset are very good come November 5th.

“Fitzhenry and Sheedy are on the wrong side of the most important issue to face North Arlington since the EnCap housing debacle. This is not a question of disagreement. We have yet to meet a single voter who supports the construction of hundreds of apartments already built with hundreds more to come along Schuyler Avenue, the Belleville Pike and River Road. Our opponents refusal to campaign or even acknowledge this disastrous record will be heard on November 5th. This arrogance is unbecoming of an elected official,” offered Balwierczak, the Chestnut Street resident and first time candidate for public office.

“The issue of overdevelopment has no peer. Fitzhenry and Sheedy thought they could pivot to this phony senior housing proposal of shoe box apartments. It isn’t working,” offered both candidates.

OVERDEVELOPMENT COMES TO LYNDHURST!

It has been rumored for months that a multiple story structure will be constructed on the site of the old Lyndhurst Diner and here is an image of that rendering.

“Overdevelopment and particularly suburban overdevelopment is spreading like wildfire and the question is do these elected officials represent the residents or the greedy developers who want to destroy our character as a small and safe community? That is what’s at stake and Fitzhenry and Sheedy have sold out to the political pressures of a mayor who is a real estate agent first and a public official last,” noted the candidates.

MELRAYS. BOSTON MARKET. ITALIAN VILLA. ALL CANDIDATES FOR MORE APARTMENTS ON RIDGE ROAD?

Both Balwierczak and Yampaglia are concerned that if they should be unsuccessful, that MELRAYS, Boston Market and the Italian Villa parcels will all make way to even more apartment dwellings along Ridge Road.

The three largest parcels on Ridge Road, all empty and dormant could all be candidates for even more housing no one supports except for Fitzhenry, Sheedy and Pronti, a full-time real estate agent and part-time elected official.

“Fitzhenry and Sheedy are rubber stamps for more housing schemes and they are too afraid to stand up to Dan Pronti, who is not from North Arlington and is obsessed with building apartments. The Republican Party is in bed with real estate interests, builders, developers and others who financially benefit from more and more housing. Pronti controls all six votes and we need two new voices not controlled by a mayor who is in the pocket of those who want to make North Arlington a city, an extension of Hudson County, just like Pronti himself,” offered the council hopefuls.

“Dan Pronti represents real estate interests. He is a real estate agent. He represents the special interests, not seniors or parents or working families. Look at the record and ignore his lying rhetoric,” said Balwierczak.

THE DEMOCRATIC DIFFERENCE. KEEPING NORTH ARLINGTON LIKE THE REST OF BERGEN COUNTY: SMALL, SAFE AND SUBURBAN!

An immediate moratorium on all new apartment dwellings along Ridge Road.

Conduct a parking & traffic study to end the congestion to decrease traffic.

Utilize permit parking for residents to secure homeowners and tenants have a space on their own block.

Partner with Public Safety to decrease the spike in home invasions and car break in’s to keep NA safe.

No more pay hikes for part-time politicians like Fitzhenry and Sheedy for attending one meeting per month.

Construct a walking and bike path along the Passaic riverfront to preserve open space & recreational opportunities for all.

“The construction of these apartments was supposed to stabilize property taxes, but the exact opposite has occurred. We have a real plan to correct the current course, protect our values and the mass, scale and character of North Arlington all at once. We need Democrats on the Mayor and Council and break this political stranglehold and monopoly on our local government. Six council members who fear this real estate agent mayor is adding density while urbanizing North Arlington into Belleville, and no one wants to become Belleville,” offered Balwierczak and Yampaglia.

Meet the Democrats this Saturday at the North Arlington Post office located at Ridge Park Drive from 9 AM until 12 noon.

See the Democrats October 30th at the Arlington Diner for a “meet and greet” beginning at 7:00 pm.
