Local NA Democrats to meet on October 19th at the Arlington Diner at 7PM.
NORTH ARLINGTON – While the November ballot is a short one with no race for borough council, local NADemocrats John Balwierczak and John Yampaglia have been now walking for months in an attempt to revitalize competitive, two-party elections in the borough of North Arlington.
The Democrats, both graduates of North Arlington HS and longtime residents believe the community is being shortchanged for lack of competitive elections with only Republicans with a seat at the table despite the fact Democrats out number the GOP.
The two Democrats want a competitive balance
The Democrats who are gathering positive support are inviting residents to attend the North Arlington Democratic Municipal Committee scheduled for October 19th at the Arlington Diner beginning at 7:00 PM.
Scheduled speakers include the 36th Legislative District team of Senator Paul Sarlo of Wood-Ridge, and Assembly members Gary Schaer of Passaic City and Clinton Calabrese of Cliffside Park.
According to sources, the reaction has been positive and many seniors are concerned about increased Municipal Taxes and rolling assessments as well as the urbanization of Ridge Road.
All Democrats dedicated to rebuilding the local party are urged to attend the scheduled October meeting and for more details, email Democratic Municipal Chairman Nick Antonicello at [email protected] or call (201) 937-4277.
