NA DEMOCRATS SECURE 300TH SIGNATURE FOR THE JUNE PRIMARY BALLOT!
Local Borough Council hopefuls Balwierczak & Yampaglia get 300th signature at Riverview Gardens
NORTH ARLINGTON – Borough council candidates John Balwierczak and John Yampaglia secured their 300th signature today at the Riverview Gardens in their quest to become the first Democrats to serve on the Mayor & Council since 2020.
For months the two lifelong residents have scoured the community seeking support to bring responsible two-party government back to the borough.“The only people who think having one political party control everything are those in control along with their political cronies. The only people who think unbridled construction of multiple apartment dwellings along Ridge Road is a good idea are the very developers, speculators and other embedded real estate interests who profit from this urbanization that is destroying North Arlington’s long standing notion of being the suburban gateway to Bergen County, not an extension of Hudson,” offered the two challengers to incumbents Brian Fitzhenry and Allison Sheedy who have voted “yes” for this transformation of Ridge Road into this traffic nightmare along with rolling tax assessments that have been deemed unnecessary.“Phase one of the campaign is nearly complete and we have canvassed the entire community. Our plan now is to start over and offer our better vision for residents and that means retaining our character while improving services and offering new ideas how to best preserve the notion of North Arlington as remaining small, safe and suburban. This message puts North Arlington first and partisan politics last,” offered the candidates.“The campaign officially begins upon certification of the petitions and we want to thank the residents for this out-pouring of support,” noted Balwierczak, a graduate of NAHS and former varsity basketball team member.
Democrats plan to file there petitions sometime this week and if interested in signing, please call (201) 655-8497.
