NORTH ARLINGTON – The Board of Education has terminated negotiations with the Archdiocese of Newark regarding the Queen of Peace Las Salle Center according to The Observer of Kearny.

School board Administrator Samantha Dembowski informed the Archdiocese of Newark in correspondence that it was ending all intent of purchase and that no legal action in the form of eminent domain seizure will be pursued by the school district.

According to sources, the property became simply too expensive to renovate after a potential purchase or lease and what was the only real issue in this race for two board seats has been eliminated from the political equation one week from election day.
