PARKING IS THE ISSUE AND PRONTI IS THE PROBLEM HERE IN NORTH ARLINGTON!
WHERE’S THE PLAN DAN?
ONE HOME BEING CONVERTED TO THREE FAMILY? 11 RESIDENTS, SIX VEHICLES?
NORTH ARLINGTON – Since Mayor Dan Ponti took office nearly a decade ago, his obsession with massive overdevelopment has impacted residents who just want to be able to park on their own block!
Massive overdevelopment has meant random reassessments and ultimately higher property taxes.
For the real culprit has been municipal, with outrageous spending sprees, land grabs, excessive legal fees and out-of-court settlements costing homeowners nearly three million dollars in 2025 alone!
Compound that with empty storefronts and buildings, more apartments are certainly in North Arlington’s future in 2026!

The massive overdevelopment of Ridge Road is self-evident, and the demolition of the Italian Villa property is forthcoming according to sources, further antagonizing this parking crisis. But as long as voters keep on reelecting Republican puppets like Kirk Del Russo and Amanda DeCicco, nothing will ever change.
Here is a host of public outcry by multiple residents online about this issue, as Pronti dismisses the crisis, unable to blame Democrats or anyone else, he just pivots, deflects and dismisses the gravity of this self-inflicted challenge.

John Balwierczak, who made a strong showing for a council seat, challenged Pronti to offer a plan of any kind regarding residential parking only to be ignored by the two-term incumbent.
Here is a sampling of their exchange today:

Pronti’s condescending tone is evident and obvious as there is no media that covers the community where he is forced to answer questions to real issues and problems as residents go to the internet to at least be heard.
In other words, if you don’t attend a council meeting, you are not entitled to an answer on an issue like residential street parking.
“Dan had 10 years to fix the problem, and he didn’t,” offered Balwierczak, a lifelong resident and graduate of NAHS.
More importantly, read the comments of several residents just seeking honest answers.
One resident expressed frustration coming home from work every day and not being able to park her vehicle on her own street!

She even claimed that she was lucky to park on her own block, maybe once a week.
Here is an online comment of a three-family conversion taking place of which apparently 11 people reside and have six (6) vehicles.

When will Pronti react and offer a sliver of help or assistance?

Elections do have consequences and Mr. Pronti will be seeking reelection in 2026.
