License agreement with Essex Republican & campaign donor to Ciattarelli for Governor endorsed by Pronti!
NORTH ARLINGTON – Through a local records request for public information, a license agreement was executed between the Borough of North Arlington and a former Republican North Caldwell councilman and 2018 GOP candidate for the office of Essex County Executive.
The property being licensed is 165-171 River Road, which was listed with Century 21 Commercial.
The contract was signed by Diana Giordano on October 3rd as the Licensor (165-171 River Road LLC) and on October 8th by Pronti in his capacity as mayor of North Arlington.
John Chiaia is an attorney who donated over $2,000 to the 2021 Republican gubernatorial nominee Jack Ciattarelli according to the state’s election law enforcement commission more commonly referred to as ELEC.
According to Ballotpedia, Chiaia was the 2018 Republican nominee for Essex County Executive and has served as a member of the Essex County Planning Board. He also served as a North Caldwell council member, but lost for reelection in 2020, where Democrats prevailed for the first time in 100 years!
In that race for county executive, Chiaia received just 16.3% of the vote losing to incumbent Joseph Di Vincenzo who captured 81% in a landslide reelection victory.
According to the agreement, the fee is $10 per month.
What Pronti and Chiaia have in common is that both were supporters of the Ciattarelli campaign as Pronti held a joint fundraiser with the Mayor of Belleville, Michael Melham.
Melham is a vendor to North Arlington as he owns Alpha Dog Solutions, and serves as the borough’s website coordinator.
Alpha Dog Solutions recently donated $2,000 to the Republican campaign.
Is all of this just politics as usual and just a coincidence?
