Qualified and Capable: Democratic Council Candidate Josie Papile is ready to serve the people of North Arlington!
The Democratic candidate for Borough Council has an impressive record of private sector leadership, strong educational credentials coupled with a sense of community pride.
True blue, Josie Papile is “NA” all the way!
Josie has deep roots in North Arlington as her Mother Helen Zukatus was born here at a time when there were farms and springs and the borough was just beginning to bloom.
Her dad Joe Potter was a journalist, speech, and radio show writer that focused on financial and business news.
Following her dad into journalism, Josie was a beat reporter for the Hudson Dispatch which circulated through North Hudson and East Bergen County. Josie covered Fairview, Cliffside Park and Englewood Cliffs as well as the Bergen County court system in Hackensack.
Josie’s husband Dennis Papile is from neighboring Lyndhurst and also serves North Arlington as a school crossing guard and works part-time at the Darlington Golf Course located in Mahwah. He previously was employed as a service manager for DeMassi Pontiac, Book Buick and Nutley Chevrolet.
Josie and Dennis are Arlington Boulevard homeowners and have one adult daughter.
Josie, like her running-mate and mayoral challenger Mark Yampaglia is a proud graduate of NAHS and was an award-winning editor for the Viking Saga!
Josie also joined her dad’s public relations firm where she networked with business leaders, bankers and security analysts as well as the business media.
A commuter student, Josie graduated from Upsala with a degree in Philosophy and also attended FDU Rutherford campus where she satisfied the necessary requirements to sit for the CPA exam. Starting as a staff accountant for Petrie Stores in Secaucus, Josie moved up the corporate ladder in the retail finance field where she worked for Ashley Stewart, BabyGear.com, Aerosoles, Spa Finder and now the CFO for Paragon Sports of Manhattan.
Beyond her business career and family, Josie likes to run, ski, do yard-work, watch HGTV, and relocate strays to loving and caring homes.
Josie Papile is the kind of financial expert and community leader we need to ensure North Arlington continues to thrive as a place where home values are increasing and essential services are reliable.
