SPECIAL ZOOM MEETING BY NA MAYOR & COUNCIL THIS TUESDAY AT 4:00 PM ON AFFORDABLE HOUSING FAIR SHARE PLAN!
Why at 4:00 PM When Most People Cannot Attend?
Why is This Meeting Not In-Person?
What is Pronti & Del Russo afraid of?
NORTH ARLINGTON – The North Arlington Borough Council will be holding a special meeting this Tuesday at 4:00 PM to discuss or endorse a resolution relating to the affordable housing, Fair Share Plan.
The resolution has not been made public.
North Arlington is one of only six municipalities in the state of New Jersey out of 567 that has not complied with state mandates regarding affordable housing obligations. It is the only area community that continues to be habitually non-compliant.
In effect, 98.9% of New Jersey is compliant except NA.
“Why isn’t this meeting being conducted in public, face-to-face? Someone explain to Pronti and Del Russo that the pandemic is over, and they have an obligation to hold public meetings, not virtual offerings where the public has little participation, if any at all,” offered council candidate John Balwierczak.
A copy of the meeting agenda is apparently online.
NA Today will post a copy once available.
Here is the public notice of the special meeting.
