STREET PARKING AT A PREMIUM THANKS TO GOP OVERDEVELOPMENT!

Residents enraged by the density and lack of parking thanks to the policies of Fitzhenry & Sheedy.

Some forced to park blocks from their home!

NORTH ARLINGTON – The myth that this unbridled overdevelopment of high rise apartment dwellings along Ridge Road is not decreasing residential street parking for all, well think again!

These photos were taken Tuesday and as you can see, there simply isn’t enough parking because of the overdevelopment practices of Republicans Brian Fitzhenry and Allison Sheedy.

Campaigning door to door in the garden apartments, it is obvious and evident longtime tenants are feeling the wrath of this godless overdevelopment of these embedded incumbents.

“When you don’t have to campaign for a decade, vote yourself a raise every year and now blindly raise taxes while constructing hundreds of units of apartments nobody wants, this is the end result,” offered John Balwierczak, the hard charging insurgent Democrat who is running with John Yampaglia on the platform of North Arlington first, keeping the community small, safe and suburban.

“How would you like to mindlessly circle over and over for a parking space? Fitz and Sheedy have no respect for these people. They are being abused and mistreated. Having to work all day to come home to no parking is outrageous and needs to stop now,” blasted the challenger.

The Democrats accused the incumbents of being “the enemy” of every longtime North Arlington resident that resides in a garden apartment complex.

“The lack of parking is ridiculous. The mass, scale and character of these new structures do not compliment the rest of the community. The fundamental question is why are the incumbents openly supporting the urbanization of a community of one and two-family homes and garden apartments that conform to the character of our values as a community? This mass urbanization is turning NA into an extension of Hudson County or Belleville, take your pick and no one wants to become Belleville,” offered both Balwierczak & Yampaglia.

The Democrats predicted a “tale of two cities” if the incumbents are reelected.

“Hundreds of apartments have been constructed and hundreds more are on the way. The Republicans have brought the housing scheme EnCap to Ridge Road. They offer no value to the community except increased density, more traffic and less street parking. It is undeniable. And now we know that property taxes will rise thanks to the increase in population, stress on essential services and increase in student class sizes that will then force our schools to raise taxes as well. This is a “lose-lose” proposition for homeowners and tenants alike,” observed the candidates.

“This is the reason Fitz and Sheedy hide from public view. They have no answers and are afraid to campaign like we have done for over a year. They are not running for reelection, but hiding from the residents as well as their miserable record of systematic urbanization, rampant overdevelopment and trying to transform North Arlington into something it is not, an urban enclave. Their record is an embarrassment and they know it. On Tuesday November 5th we will have the last word,” noted the hopefuls.
