Be it random reassessments, bogus out-of-court settlements, massive overdevelopment, or just a plan or platform, Amanda DeCicco is just a puppet for Pronti!
NORTH ARLINGTON – Probably the most inexperienced and unqualified candidate to seek a seat on the Borough Council in decades, it’s clear Amanda DeCicco lacks a basic understanding of the role of a council member or legislator, as she continues to dance in the dark when it comes to the issues North Arlington voters really want to talk about.
For this political RINO who never voted in a Republican Primary until her name appeared on the ballot, several question if she ever saw the inside of Borough Hall until she was Pronti’s pick to succeed the departed Lynette Cavadas, who abruptly resigned, sold her home and moved to Lyndhurst.
Lacking any background in government, she is seen here struggling to recite the Declaration of Independence on the Fourth of July:
A Republican who did not vote for Trump or even bother to vote in the presidential election in 2016, just where does she stand except to be a “yes” vote for Mayor Dan Pronti?

“Amanda voted to appropriate $7 million dollars in a single evening without reviewing one bill at her second council meeting in which she receives roughly $1,000 per month for about two hours of work. She is a Pronti rubber stamp who has yet to utter a single idea or proposal since becoming a candidate. She is what they call in politics, an empty suit,” offered challenging opponent John Balwierczak, a lifelong resident and graduate of North Arlington High School where he played varsity basketball for the Vikings.
“Pick any issue and she has no stated position, just like her running-mate Kirk Del Russo. They are the see no evil and speak no evil council members. In fact, they don’t speak at all. They don’t even comment at council meetings unless prepared by a handler. Talk about property taxes or the reassessments? Never! It is sad to have two puppets take up space on the Mayor & Council,” offered Balwierczak.
ADDED PROPERTY REASSESSMENTS AND OUTRAGEOUS LEGAL BILLS AND LITIGATION:
DeCicco and Del Russo just voted yes like they did at the September meeting in which they blindly voted for $7 million dollars in new spending.
MASSIVE OVERDEVELOPMENT OF RIDGE ROAD:
DeCicco endorses hundreds of apartment units with no end in sight like her running-mate, Kirk Del Russo, the cheerleader for the failed housing scheme known as EnCap where they proposed nearly 1,700 units of low-income housing in the Meadowlands. Had Del Russo had his way, Federal Express never would have occurred! Both DeCicco and Del Russo, himself a real estate agent, are blank checks for continued unbridled overdevelopment!
OUTRAGEOUS OUT-OF-COURT SETTLEMENT WITH FORMER LIBRARY EMPLOYEE TOTALING $200,000!
Why won’t DeCicco or Del Russo comment on this taxpayer giveaway? Why do they refuse to answer simple questions like why the Library Board was sued in the first place? DeCicco knows. Del Russo knows and they refuse to offer the public anything! Why won’t DeCicco or Del Russo tell the truth? This is the arrogance and inability to function as an advocate for residents and taxpayers! 
THE MYTH OF SENIOR HOUSING.
How many more elections is this lie of senior housing going to continue? They were supposed to break ground this summer, and nothing happened and no cost to date has been shared with taxpayers. Why? 
The MELRAYS mess.
How long will the largest commercial parcel on Ridge Road remain empty and dormant? Does DeCicco or Del Russo have a plan or solution? Of course not!
Why are DeCicco and Del Russo trying to take credit for Democratic proposals like a seasonal Farmer’s Market, additional parklets and a dog park? When will they offer a real proposal for the restoration of the Passaic Riverfront?
Why are Republicans trying to stack the Board of Education with partisan hacks instead of keeping the BOE free of politics?
Why won’t they debate?
Both Del Russo and DeCicco are petrified by the even the notion of a debate or forum in front of taxpayers and residents. Why won’t they engage the public or their opponents, John Balwierczak and Cengiz “Jim” Sever?
Why is North Arlington just one of 10 municipalities in all of New Jersey trying to litigate the state in a court battle they cannot win? DeCicco and Del Russo would rather litigate then negotiate! Because of this inability to govern, a potential builder’s remedy would leave North Arlington hapless and helpless thanks to the mismanagement of the issue by Pronti, Del Russo and DeCicco!
North Arlington needs leaders independent enough to question and challenge Pronti’s iron grip control of the Borough Council. We need responsible two-party government that bring a dialogue and end the monologue of Republicans just voting yes 100% of the time!
