THE ONLY PERSON WHO THINKS MUNICIPAL TAXES ARE NOT RISING IS DAN PRONTI!
7-0 ALL-REPUBLICAN COUNCIL DOUBLES DOWN ON ROLLING TAX ASSESSMENTS!
North Arlington – While the rest of North Arlington continues to consistently oppose these unnecessary rolling tax assessments, especially when the Borough is sitting on millions in surplus, why is this misguided, “over taxation” of NA property owners rolling on?
Not only do local Republicans refuse to explain or defend this misguided tax practice, but they also won’t even acknowledge the fact North Arlington property taxes are increasing like never before and have been increasing for the last five years!
To add insult to injury, council members like Kirk Del Russo, a local real estate agent who has voted “yes” for every overdevelopment proposal along Ridge Road has also voted himself a council raise five years running!
Sources tell NA Today that the all-Republican council will vote to increase the Mayor’s part-time pay to over $20,000 which would make him one of the highest paid elected officials in all of Bergen County, which has 70 municipalities.
Attached here is a sampling of the public’s opinion of these rolling assessments that Pronti and his council support without fault or explanation.
Local council candidates John Balwierczak and Cengiz “Jim” Sever have gone on the record opposing these embedded tax hikes and are seeking clarity on the future of the senior center and why there is no plan to replace the old recreation center.
Pronti has made previous pronouncements about the construction of a new police department, but details are non-existent in terms of size, cost and timeline.
Few residents are apparently even aware of these plans.
