Yampaglia: A Reliable Vote for Homeowners when it comes to Controlling Property Taxes!
North Arlington – Councilman Mark Yampaglia (D-NA), the 2018 nominee for Mayor is the only candidate in the race with a consistent record of stabilizing and cutting Municipal Taxes for over a decade.
Yampaglia, a practicing attorney who has been appointed twice and elected four times by North Arlington residents has voted in the affirmative to stabilize or cut the Municipal Tax Rate under three different mayors.
“Be it Russ Pitman, Pete Massa or Joe Bianchi, I have a consistent record of protecting taxpayers as a fiscal conservative on the side of homeowners. I have a demonstrated record of supporting sound public policy versus partisan politics. I’ll always put taxpayers first and my record as a councilman reflects that reality,” noted Yampaglia, the Ranking Member of the North Arlington Borough Council.
“People know my record and I always support the right thing to do. The #1 issue with NA homeowners is always property taxes and that’s why I’ve been consistent in supporting frugal budgets no matter what political party was in charge. I am guided by the principle that raising taxes never really solves anything,” observed Yampaglia, a life-long resident and graduate of NAHS.
“As an elected official, you must put taxpayers first. We have a large contingent of seniors who rely on this governing body to keep North Arlington small, safe and suburban. To ensure that our seniors are never ignored or gentrified by larger local government,” offered the four-term North Arlington Councilman.
Yampaglia said he would appoint Josie Papile as Finance Chair if they are elected come November.
“Josie will play a leadership role in constructing our 2019 Municipal Budget if successful. Her expertise and insight into the numbers and balance sheet will play a critical role in ensuring we build the best budget possible. Our financials will be in great hands with Josie on the council.”
