RUNNING AWAY FROM HIS ENCAP PAST WON’T WORK, WON’T TAKE A STAND ON QUEEN OF PEACE BECAUSE REPUBLICANS WANT TO KEEP THAT CARD OF APPLYING EMINENT DOMAIN SEIZURE IN THEIR HAND!
ONLY DEMOCRATS BALWIERCZAK AND SEVER ARE 100% AGAINST THE APPLICATION OF EMINENT DOMAIN SEIZURE!
NORTH ARLINGTON – Here is a redacted version of a post that asks Councilman Kirk Del Russo, a real estate agent and state employee if he endorses the actions of the North Arlington Board of Education.
He refuses to state a position on the QP eminent domain seizure initiative and apparently this exchange has been deleted by the Republicans.
You can delete a post, but you can’t delete your record, Kirk. 
For Kirk Del Russo is part of the past and part of the problem and his nearly ten-year stint on the very redevelopment commission that brought us EnCap, the threat of eminent domain seizure and the construction of low-income housing in the Meadowlands!
For Del Russo’s past precedes Dan Pronti’s time in office, as you see here his votes to embrace EnCap over and over again as a loyal soldier to that failed housing debacle and the reason why he was defeated for borough council because of that miserable record as a redevelopment commissioner. 
So, Del Russo runs and hides
Has no stated position on gentrification or the massive overdevelopment he has supported along Ridge Road. VOTED “YES” FOR EVERY NEW APARTMENT ON RIDGE ROAD!
VOTED TO RAISE TAXES IN 2025 AND AGAIN IN 2026!
Voted himself five consecutive raises for a part-time job as an elected official for attending a single meeting a month!
Voted “yes” to approve the tax refunds and successful tax appeals due to his support for these random reassessments that are raising Municipal Taxes!
Voted “yes” for a mysterious out-of-court settlement of $200,000 to a former library employee and refuses to explain his vote that left North Arlington holding the bag!
Voted for every single legal expenditure of the Borough Attorney amounting to over $350,000 since January of 2024.
Makes no public statements of any kind, refuses to debate or even participate in a forum with his Democratic council challengers.
Unless he is protected by Pronti, he is a “hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil” candidate for office.
Del Russo’s EnCap past should automatically disqualify him for reelection and this avoidance of taking stands is outright embarrassing.
Kirk Del Russo can’t point to a single significant accomplishment after several terms of office!
Being a “yes” man for the Mayor is not governing, it’s parroting, and we’ll still have four parrots left should voters give Del Russo and DeCicco the boot come Election Day.
