Why are Del Russo and DeCicco literally stealing the ideas and proposals of Democrats Balwierczak and Sever?
Initially mocking the notion of a Farmer’s Market, now the GOP is claiming they support a Dog Park, another Democratic initiative.
Republican flip-flopping is now becoming comical!
NORTH ARLINGTON – It seems the next time incumbents Del Russo and DeCicco have an original idea will be the first time.
Running a campaign “on empty” when it comes to proposals or solutions, now the struggling and clueless incumbents are trying to adopt the ideas of their challengers, John Balwierczak and Cengiz “Jim” Sever.
“The Future of North Arlington,” otherwise known as the PRAVDA of the local Republican Party is carrying the water for the hapless incumbents who are unable or unwilling to have an opinion or thought that wasn’t lifted from the Democratic platform.
The Democratic platform is here in their walking brochure they have been distributing for weeks:
Renovation and restoration of the Passaic Riverfront which the Republicans and Pronti have done nothing for over a decade. The proposal for senior/veteran housing has apparently hit the back burner after claims they would break ground this summer! Maybe someone finally told them the location of the proposal floods all the time!
The Republicans are now claiming Democrats want to construct a town pool on Ridge Road. We ask they provide any evidence or statement that backs this bold face lie! While a pool is not in their platform or agenda, Democrats would consider any proposal that has public support, makes sense and can be managed by the community and not operate at a loss.
The proposal for a Farmer’s Market is extensive, and can be viewed here in this link:https://natoday.net/balwierczak-sever-outline-benefits-to-seasonal-farmers-market-for-north-arlington/?fbclid=IwVERDUAMokApleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHuOo7iNRk8MLCC90-OyYTGxAIOI-VCnBwo28Pw1IPe5sX9ty8919Ho5VahfB_aem_DHOU_EicpSIt25hNQVfv1A
Republicans called the proposal “a vegetable stand,” and dismissed without understanding or acknowledging the process put forth. Now in a complete “360,” Del Russo and DeCicco are now on board?
Democrats have proposed a singular dog park as well as parklets to expand green and open space in a community like North Arlington that has accumulated density. In a desperate attempt to have an original thought, they are now seeking space on River Road with little thought to parking. This “me too” logic of the Republicans only confirms having six puppets for Pronti unfeasible. With two Democrats on the Borough Council, new ideas and solutions can actually be brought to the table for public input which is non-existent today.
Now the Republicans have decided to place a phony price tag on these proposals claiming property taxes will increase $4,000!
Whose “ass” did they pull that number out of?
How do you come up with such an obvious lie and claim?
Remember, these are two candidates that refuse to knock on a single door and refuse to engage the public as Pronti and only Pronti speaks for these puppets!
On the River Road purchase of a dormant structure of $1.5 million dollars, what was the “emergency” and how much more will be needed to remediate this dilapidated property?
What is the public purpose?
The emergency was never stated or revealed.
There was no emergency.
But since we’re asking questions, here some for the incumbents:
Why are you raising taxes through random, rolling tax assessments that are unfair and not equitable?
Why are municipal spending and debt at record levels?
Why are you declaring war on the North Arlington Board of Education?
Why are you raising taxes when sitting on millions in surplus?
How many more apartments are you planning to construct along Ridge Road that are raising taxes for all?
What is to become of MELRAYS, that remains empty and dormant on your watch?
What is your plan to construct mandated affordable housing units as per state guidelines you have ignored?
What became of your phantom senior housing scheme.
“It’s bad enough they steal our ideas. But they hide from public view is even worse. How about a forum between the candidates? For once we can find out if either incumbent has an original idea in their head and not the spoon-fed rantings of a mayor who despises public transparency and competitive elections. For once let’s hear from those responsible for these rolling tax assessments most residents can’t stand. I know we’re making progress when all they do is try to steal our ideas because they lack any of their own,” blasted Balwierczak, a former Republican.
