SIGNS DON’T VOTE PEOPLE DO!
DOES RUNNING AS A “PRONTI PUPPET” MEANINGFUL TO ANYONE EXCEPT DAN PRONTI?
WHAT DOES DEL RUSSO AND DECICCO REALLY STAND FOR?
NORTH ARLINGTON – As the political season descends on North Arlington, local Democrats are aggressively canvassing door-to-door while the incumbents have done no campaigning at all and are expecting the endorsement of Mayor Dan Pronti more than enough to secure victory come Tuesday, November 4th.
For the issues of massive overdevelopment of Ridge Road, the saturation of apartments only further burdening density that has become intolerable capped off by the random tax reassessment of homes that are highly unpopular as Del Russo & DeCicco have doubled down on a policy that’s unfair and unequitable to NA homeowners!
For the only reason being stated by the Republican ticket to re-elect them is simple, we are controlled by Mayor Dan Pronti.
For what exactly is the benefit to taxpayers to align yourself 100% of the time with the Mayor?
The Borough Council is a “rubber stamp” for Dan Pronti, and he aims to keep it that way.
Pronti wants to end competitive elections not only for the borough council, but now he wants to take over the non-partisan Board of Education with unqualified candidates obedient to him and him alone!
For absolute power and protecting his political monopoly are Pronti’s only stated goal.
He despises the Democrats and hates the notion of political opposition.
He wants to control all six council seats and all five members of the Board of Education and is taking no prisoners!
In contrast, local Democrats John Balwierczak and Cengiz “Jim” Sever oppose these random, rolling reassessments that are raising property taxes and are pushing long term citizens out of the community, especially seniors.
They won’t debate or engage the Democrats because they would rather hide at the knee of Pronti.
Looking for a team with a plan?
A real proposal?
Consider the Democrats:
End rolling tax reassessments and place a “moratorium” on all apartment construction along Ridge Road.
Construct “parklets” and create a municipally owned, seasonal Farmer’s Market.
The creation of a centrally located Dog Park, and bike lanes along Ridge Road.
No more metered parking, no more pay hikes for part-time elected officials.
Site and construct a recreation center for kids between 7-17.
Revive and Restore the Passaic River front with a bike & walking path extending from the Arlington Diner to County Park in cooperation with our county, state, and federal partners.
The time for transparency and responsible two-party government is now.
Proudly declaring to be a “puppet” of Pronti is not an agenda or a solution.
Consider this:
Since being appointed to the borough council in 2019, Councilman Kirk Del Russo has voted yes “100%” of the time with Dan Pronti.
That’s six years of voting 100% on anything and everything!
If that’s not a rubber stamp, what is?
The time for real change is now and reject random, rolling reassessments of these Republicans. It can only occur with new council members who have the courage to tell Dan Pronti “No.”
