Property Taxes continue to rise thanks to Pronti, Del Russo and DeCicco.
Even GOP council members are seeing their property taxes climb year over year!
NORTH ARLINGTON – Why is the all-Republican Mayor & Council making the outrageous claim that property taxes are not increasing, and that Republican, rolling tax assessments are somehow a good thing for residents.
If that is case, why are so many people complaining to Democratic candidates John Balwierczak and Cengiz “Jim” Sever?
Here is a comment from a resident who has stated since buying his home in 2022, just three years ago his taxes have skyrocketed some $2,000!

But more importantly, here are the current property tax bills for several members of the Borough Council.
In each case, they all saw significant tax hikes.
Even Councilwoman Allison Sheedy, a dual job holder and double-dipper with a position at the Board of Education conceded during Thursday’s meeting that her property taxes to increased.
Here are the current tax bills of several members of the North Arlington Borough Council and note the tax increases.
“Dan Pronti is trying to squelch any opposition to his failed policies. He hates the fact that I’m running, and he is the reason I left the Republican Party because of this massive overdevelopment schemes and random assessments most residents despise. But more importantly North Arlington has become a political dictatorship, a monopoly of sorts with a part-time real estate agent controlling every aspect of the community because the Borough Council has basically abdicated all of their responsivities to him. If you’re a Democrat in North Arlington, you are a second-class citizen and mistreated at a public meeting simply because you oppose these flawed tax policies that are not working,” offered Balwierczak, a lifelong resident.
“Dan Pronti doesn’t know how to conduct a meeting. He’s impressed with himself and he’s a proverbial big fish in a small bowl. He’s a bully and now he’s trying to have me removed from a public meeting because I won’t tolerate his nonsense. Why won’t he explain why he supported a $200,000 out-of-court settlement regarding a former library employee? What were the facts of that settlement? Why won’t he or his two puppets comment on this giveaway? People have had enough of his ways. He is embarrassing NA every day,” said Balwierczak.
