BALWIERCZAK & SEVER GREET NA SENIORS, PROMISE TO ROLL BACK REPUBLICAN TAX REASSESSMENTS!

Now is the time to restore Democrats on the Borough Council after 10 years of only Republicans!    

NORTH ARLINGTON – Democratic council candidates John Balwierczak and Jim Sever greeted seniors Friday afternoon as they hammered away on the issue of rolling back the Republican random tax reassessments that are hurting working families, especially seniors that are being pushed out of North Arlington.

Incumbents Del Russo and DeCicco have doubled down on these assessments that are unfair and inequitable. Only Democrats Balwierczak and Sever are on the side of exhausted homeowners.

“It’s time to roll back these reassessments now,” stated both Balwierczak and Sever.

“Seniors are the primary victims of these rolling and random reassessments. They are individuals on fixed incomes now being hit again and again by higher tax rates imposed by Del Russo and DeCicco. If we are successful, we will call for a vote to roll back these senseless tax hikes,” said the Democrats.

“What is the point of a higher home value when property taxes are crushing seniors with no place to go? They want to stay in their homes. They want and demand property tax relief.”

TAX RATE QUADRUPLES UNDER DEL RUSSO & DECICCO.  

Between 2017 and 2025, the General Tax Rate has spiked from $2.924 to $4.742 today! That’s a 39% hike in the rate under all-Republican rule. Pronti, Del Russo and now DeCicco are doubling down on these senseless rate increases,” said Balwierczak.

Democrats will continue campaigning on Saturday at the Post Office and through Monday with some final canvassing efforts.
