PRONTI COMPLAINING ABOUT, DAN PRONTI?
NORTH ARLINGTON – You have to hand it to Republican Mayor Dan Pronti, the GOP political boss, part time real estate agent and retired cop who seems to find someone, anyone to blame when his own policies are failing! 
Instead of taking responsibility for his proliferation of apartments constructed, now over 100 or the plethora of empty Ridge Road storefronts on his watch (including MELRAYS, the largest and still vacant), Pronti is now blaming anyone who served in local government for a ten-year period between 2005-2015!
Without any facts, figures or statistics, he openly attacks both Democrats and Republicans who served in that time period, including the late Joseph Bianchi, the popular lifelong resident who with former Mayor Peter C Massa (also a lifelong resident) secured Federal Express in the Meadowlands!
In Pronti’s world, anyone who is critical of his policies and failures is somehow anti-North Arlington, and is the true culprit, and not the actual occupant of 214 Ridge Road. 
Well, how about the Borough Administrator hired by Democrats and retained by the Republicans?
Was his leadership or management of the municipality on a full-time basis ineffective?
For who negotiated all of these apartments, most residents don’t support?
Or how about his support for random, rolling tax assessments?
Who is he blaming for that misguided policy?
Or how about the purchase of a $238,000 water fountain nobody asked for that he claims was free?
And when will he comment on the Library Board fiasco that saw North Arlington settle out-of-court with a former employee regarding a hostile work environment in the amount of $200,000?
Was any action taken by Pronti regarding this matter other than supporting this lump sum payout without comment or explanation?
He has never even acknowledged this black eye upon North Arlington once, instead he has enabled the status quo by lacking the guts to stand up for taxpayers and this ridiculous settlement!
Or what about the dozens of complaints regarding his lack of leadership regarding the current snowstorms?
Residents don’t blame the Department of Public Works; they blame the man in charge!
And what about his phantom senior housing and who will determine who lives there? What is the cost and when if ever, will it be constructed in what appears to be a location where flooding is constant!
So, when residents who have lived here for decades are critical of his policies, they know the town’s past.
They don’t need a “history lesson” about North Arlington from a guy who was a Montclair cop and is from Bayonne, not North Arlington!
You see, the real residents don’t need to read the dribble of “North Arlington Happenings,” the pro-Pronti, pro-Republican Facebook page that restricts free speech by never offering an alternative point-of-view, especially when it comes to politics and governance here in NA!
It’s all Pronti, all of the time.
For the Borough Council is stacked with mindless followers of this Mayor, afraid and petrified of ever questioning anything he does, much less voting “no” just once!
How do you have six council puppets who are petrified in ever voting against this political boss, a big fish in a small pond?
Not once, not ever have any of them had the guts or character question anything he does!
Political puppets all!
Yes, real residents of North Arlington have a right to question this very questionable leadership.
This isn’t Dan Pronti’s town and the rest of us just live here.
It’s time for Democrats, at least just a few occupy this Borough Council.
Elections have consequences and it’s time to remember this coming November!
