The North Arlington Democratic Municipal Committee will be hosting a campaign rally and meet & greet on Wednesday, May 27th at the Arlington Diner beginning at 7:00 PM and all interested and supportive residents are invited.
Sponsored by Bergen County Democratic Committee Chairman Paul Juliano, the featured speaker will be United States Representative Nellie Pou (D-9).
This year’s ticket is John Balwierczak for Mayor, and for Borough Council Dennis Papile & Cengiz “Jim” Sever.
Balwierczak, a life-long resident and product of our public schools, is a graduate of North Arlington High School where he played varsity basketball for the Vikings. A former member of the United Food & Commercial Workers, AFL-CIO, Balwierczak is a private investor and former small business owner who suffers from a permanent hearing disability in his right ear, he has faced this challenge with determination and remains committed to listening to every resident’s voice.

Balwierczak lives on Chestnut Street and can be reached by phone at (201) 655-8497.
Dennis Papile is a homeowner, father, and grandfather, who served in the US Naval Reserve from 1969-1973. A longtime NA school crossing guard, Papile is also employed by the County of Bergen. Cengiz “Jim” Sever is also a homeowner, husband and father of three children and has been married for 27 years. An Albert Street resident, Sever is originally from Brooklyn where he attended Lafayette High School. A marble & tile installer by trade, he is a proud member of BAC Local #7, AFL-CIO.
“I’m proud to be running with two longtime homeowners who share the same vision of North Arlington as remaining small, safe and suburban while opposing the massive overdevelopment policies of our opponents and ending these random property reassessments that are hurting working families, especially seniors,” offered Balwierczak.
“Dan claims property taxes are at an all-time low. I will hold him accountable for that kind of irresponsible rhetoric. When I defeat Dan Pronti, I’ll work with the remaining Republicans and restore responsible two-party consensus governance.”
Tickets are $100 per person and can be purchased at the door.
