Bergen Executive James Tedseco, US Representative Nellie Pou (NJ-9), Candidate for Bergen Surrogate Linda Schwager and Passaic County Democratic Chair John Currie all support the North Arlington Democratic Mayoral Hopeful!
NORTH ARLINGTON – From left to right, Democratic mayoral candidate John Balwierczak, a lifelong resident and graduate of North Arlington High School has received the endorsement of Bergen County Executive James Tedesco, US Congresswoman Nellie Pou (D-9), Democratic candidate for Surrogate Linda Schwager and Democratic Chairman of Passaic County John Currie.
Tedesco, the former county legislator and mayor of Paramus, is a longtime volunteer firefighter who is serving his third term as county executive of the state’s most populous county.
US Representative Nellie Pou is a former state legislator who succeeded the late William “Bill” Pascrell representing the 9th congressional district.
Pou is the first Latina to represent New Jersey in the House.
Linda Schwager is the Democratic Party’s nominee for the office of surrogate.
The former mayor of Oakland, she also served with distinction as the President of the Bergen County Bar Association.
John Currie, the longest serving county chairman, is a legend in New Jersey politics.
The chairman of the Passaic County Democratic Committee, he previously served as Chair of the New Jersey Democratic State Party.
“These are all legendary leaders within our party and I’m grateful for their help and support. Democrats have the wind ay our backs. We have an unpopular incumbent who is raising taxes, implementing rolling reassessments, and North Arlington is no longer safe or suburban on his watch. Join me in turning NA around,” offered Balwierczak who is running with council candidates Dennis Papile and Jim Sever.
The trio of candidates has been endorsed by the Bergen County Central Trades Council, AFL-CIO.
