CAN YOU SAY, FLIP-FLOP? PRONTI WRONG ON OPUS, HIS SIGNATURE MAYORAL ACCOMPLISHMENT!

CAN YOU SAY, FLIP-FLOP?

PRONTI WRONG ON OPUS, HIS SIGNATURE MAYORAL ACCOMPLISHMENT!

“WE WILL NOT ALLOW ANOTHER OPUS” – MAGA DAN PRONTI…

NORTH ARLINGTON – Did the walls rattle in your kitchen today?

Did your toilet overflow?

Did your dog hide in the basement?

Did your car alarm go off unexpectedly?

For MAGA Mayor Dan Pronti now sensing his reelection is seriously in jeopardy, is now back-tracking on OPUS, his signature redevelopment apartment project he has praised and supported for years, until now!

But now we know the truth and the rest of the story.

Feeling the heat of a real political challenge for the first time that has him sweating bullets, he is now trying to say that the garden apartment complexes that have populated the community in peace and prosperity for decades are the same as the massive overdevelopment he supports on Ridge Road today!

Here is this incredible political “flip-flop” by MAGA Dan, sensing what happen to his mentor and campaign guru , ex-Mayor Michael Melham of Belleville, can certainly happen to him on November 3rd:

Local Democrats sense political blood in the water as internal polling clearly opposes much of the Pronti resume and record:

  • The 2026 Municipal Tax Hike he dismisses as “just fine”
  • Continued & Consistent, Random & Rolling Tax Assessments driving working families and seniors (2,700) out of NA!
  • The unsafe conditions on Ridge Road in wake of the double homicide murders!
  • A federal raid of a closed Smoothie Shop mixed up in drugs! A business Pronti promoted on his mayoral FACEBOOK page!
  • Outrageous pay raises engineered by Pronti and the Borough Council to attend a single meeting a month!
  • Unaccounted transparency of municipal vehicles for private and personal use, one spotted at an Atlantic City Casino, 125 miles away from NA!
  • A three-day a week Borough Administrator “earning” over $200,000 in salary, perks and benefits
  • Pronti encouraging the construction of AI Data Centers in the Meadowlands
  • The decimation of the Ridge Road business district
  • Empty and dormant storefronts everywhere!
  • Lack of renter support by Pronti and the GOP! Treated like second-class citizens!
  • Decreased residential parking, more traffic, the total “urbanization” of North Arlington
  • The phony and fraudulent notion that the River Road water fountain was free, when it cost taxpayers $238,000 (2025)!
  • A $200,000 out-of-court settlement (2025) engineered by Pronti for a former library employee who accused the Borough of racism and a hostile work environment!

“Dan’s flip-flop on OPUS is eye opening and obvious. People have had it with a real estate agent and part-time mayor running NA into the ground! I bleed Viking blue and I’m proud of it. I’m not from the dregs of Bayonne. I’m not going anywhere, and Pronti will never get a free ride in an election ever again. This failure of a mayor is afraid to engage the public and hides in his private office in Borough Hall watching television. It’s a disgrace and the party is over come November 3rd,” charged the surging challenger.

“Dan Pronti hates elections and despises a fair discussion of the issues. He refuses to debate, trying to use the trappings of a council meeting as a political forum. Like a radio talk show host, he needs to control the microphone in a stacked deck atmosphere. Let’s debate Dan, with an objective moderator. That won’t happen because he’ll crumble like a week-old coffee cake.”

Here is the Balwierczak agenda:

  • Immediate moratorium on all apartment construction along Ridge Road
  • An across the board, 7% reduction in municipal spending
  • The hiring of a full-time, five days a week, municipal administrator
  • No Data Centers for the Bethlehem Steel site in the Meadowlands
  • No tax abatements for commercial properties
  • New law enforcement deployment along Ridge Road on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings
  • Reversal of random, rolling reassessments from annual to every 7/10 years so homeowners have the tax advantage to invest in their properties
  • The reestablishment of the Rent Leveling Board of Adjustment
  • A new Senior Protection Advisory Committee appointed by the Mayor
  • A Passaic Riverfront Plan that extends a bike & walking path to Lyndhurst
  • The construction of a Dog Park
  • The formation of a seasonal Farmer’s Market from May to October behind Borough Hall
  • Abolish the flawed and failed plan to place senior housing in a flood zone

“This admittance that OPUS as a terrible idea by the very guy who promoted it tells me they finally realize they are on the wrong side of the issues. Democrats demand and deserve a seat at the table of governance. All Republicans all of the time has resulted in the situation we have today. A healthy mix of Democrats and Republicans is required for consensus and success. I can work with a GOP majority on the council. I was a Republican. I left the GOP because of Dan’s notion that he requires absolute obedience and the rest of us don’t matter. I can work with a Brian Fitzhenry or Kirk Del Russo. They see the handwriting on the wall. The problem is Pronti and his obnoxious Bayonne ways,” blasted the lifelong Democrat and graduate of NAHS.
