Let’s be clear, Alexandra Leitano & Nicole DeCapua Rinck are the officially endorsed Republican candidates enthusiastically backed by MAGA Mayor Dan Pronti.

School board elections are supposed to be non-partisan; non-party contests as clearly indicated on the sample ballots mailed to voters.
The North Arlington Republican Club has officially endorsed both DeCapua-Rinck & Leitao.

Their only chance for victory is to be the Pronti-backed candidates.
Both incumbents Ed Smith and Robert Dorsett understand the rules, and there only focus is academic excellence and the delivery of educational results in cooperation with parents, teacher and students regardless of political affiliation.
It’s the reason why they have been elected and reelected by wide margins as these hapless challengers offer nothing but empty rhetoric and slogans that do little to improve the quality of education here in North Arlington.
What is their position on the school budget, curriculum, or capital improvement?
Where do they stand on teacher tenure, length of the school year or technology and AI?
Do either of them have any experience in collective bargaining or structuring a school budget?
What would they do differently from the incumbents?
Where is their platform or agenda?
Why should the incumbents be denied another term of office?
Questions that remain unanswered.
They have in practice changed the race into a referendum on MAGA Republicans trying to take the school board hostage.
And that’s bad news for students, parents and taxpayers.
We have seen this time and time again as Pronti is desperate to take over this public school system that for the most part is well run, productive and doing the job parents and taxpayers can support.
Being honest with voters is little to ask.
This is the Republican team, why run away from that fact?
When you run a partisan effort, you will get a partisan result.
