BALWIERCZAK TICKET SEEKS REAL CHANGE, PRONTI, NA GOP REMAIN IN PROVERBIAL POLITICAL BUBBLE!
Democrats, Independents Need Not Apply!
Balwierczak candidacy well received as local Republicans continue to attack the new mayoral hopeful!
NORTH ARLINGTON – While Republicans insult those residents who are warmly greeting the mayoral candidacy of John Balwierczak, it is obvious the local GOP will continue a dialogue of attack now and ask questions later!
Balwierczak, a favorite of those who oppose random property tax reassessments and the unnecessary proliferation of more apartments along Ridge Road, the local Republican Club is now questioning the roots of those residents who desire real change.
It seems the Republicans continue to operate in a bubble, believing the current policies of Dan Pronti are somehow popular with voters.
Some Pronti followers are now questioning the credentials of this feisty challenger who wants to restore legitimate and credible two-party government.
“Two parties are better than one, and one person dominating the governing body is bad news for taxpayers,” said the newly minted mayoral hopeful.
“Local Republicans hate any semblance of legitimate and competitive local elections. They demand coronations and not a real discussion of the issues or our future. They want to eliminate competitive elections and resent they have to ask voters for another four years,” noted Balwierczak, a life-long resident and graduate of North Arlington High School.
“I’m not from Bayonne. I’m a North Arlington Viking that bleeds blue.”
Balwierczak was even attacked for canvassing door-to-door by GOP supporter.
“I’m a special needs individual. I was born permanently deaf in my right ear. I’ll continue to listen, learn, and canvass the community. I won’t be intimidated.”
Balwierczak continued:
“When was the last time a Republican knocked on a single door and listened to the opinions of a voter? My campaign is about transparency. I seek opinions and insights from all voters whether we disagree or not. That’s called the democratic process.”
Balwierczak said the local Republican cub continues to embarrass itself.
“Who questions one’s residency? It is this kind of arrogance that caused me to leave this kind of one-party, machine style thinking. I want to be the mayor of all of North Arlington, and most voters reject this kind of backward and awkward point-of-view. My candidacy is about open government that will include Democrats, Republicans and Independents. I want to bring NA together, not tear it down like the one-party mentality we have in Borough Hall under Pronti. I will lead by example.”
#1 on the Balwierczak agenda is to end random Republican reassessments that are raising property taxes, especially on seniors.
“If we win, I’m confident with Pronti out of the way we can build consensus between the parties and offer policy solutions rather then partisan propaganda.”
“I want to debate Dan Pronti. Voters deserve such a side-by-side presentation. Dan has avoided a sober discussion of the issues and attacking me endlessly in my prior campaigns. Well, since he is in complete charge with a council too weak to stand up to him, I will be more than happy to meet him in a one-on-venue that is fair and about the voters,” challenged the candidate.
Balwierczak thanked local Democrats for the opportunity to run and was supportive of his running-mates Cengiz “Jim” Sever and Dennis Papile.
“This will be an issue-oriented outreach to voters, not a one-sided propaganda sermon by Pronti. We will prevail because after 10 years of Republican broken promises that have urbanized and gentrified the community from what was once a safe and suburban place while raising property taxes at the same time, voters want a second pair of eyes evaluating this overdevelopment nightmare and just one person, Dan Pronti ruling North Arlington as if this is his personal kingdom really needs to end.”

“Call me. I return all calls,” offered Balwierczak.
