BUILDINGS BULL DOZED AND GONE. RIDGE ROAD WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN!

NORTH ARLINGTON – While many residents are now realizing the full impact of the Republican gentrification, density and urbanization of least Ridge Road, what will be the timeline for construction and how long will it take for things to get back to normal?

While change is always apparent, change for change’s sake driven by out-of-town developers with close ties to Pronti and the all-Republican Borough Council is obvious, as they believe what you see now is “progress” versus rampant overdevelopment and rising property taxes thanks to Republican rolling assessments.

“Republican leaders in North Arlington despise two-party governance. They suggest the sky would fall if a single Democrat was elected locally. What really is the fear? Why are they so petrified of the thought of Democrats and Republicans on the governing body,” offered mayoral hopeful John Balwierczak, a lifelong resident and former Republican himself.

“We’ve made some commonsense proposals like ending this plethora of apartment units that are increasing density and placing a strain on local municipal services like public safety and local schools. I believe when Dan Pronti is replaced, we can have a favorable and productive relationship with the remaining Republicans. Things are so partisan because of Pronti’s demeanor and opposition to cooperation and consensus,” noted the candidate.

“How can you constructively work with someone who claims North Arlington municipal taxes are at an all-time low? Such rhetoric is not even believable, and few outside his partisan followers believe something so silly. Pronti is not a local. He’s from Bayonne. He’s a MAGA Republican who thinks Donald Trump has had a positive impact on North Arlington. It was Pronti and Trump who believe EnCap in the Meadowlands was somehow a good idea. Pronti continues to try to politicize our local schools by running candidates that are loyal to him, not to students, parents and taxpayers.”

PRONTI & DEVELOPERS, PERFECT TOGETHER!

Balwierczak pointed to the thousands in campaign donations from developers all doing business in the borough.

“Democrats never took tenancy in buildings scheduled for demolition. Democrats are not increasing legal fees and leaving North Arlington vulnerable to a builder’s remedy when it comes to housing. Democrats didn’t accept some silly water fountain and then stiff taxpayers with a $238,000 bill to have it installed. Democrats didn’t agree to an outrageous $200,000 out-of-court civil suit with a former library employee and fail to make a single change in leadership. These are the issues Pronti conveniently avoids and will never debate me because he has no answers. Pronti likes a stacked deck where he controls the narrative and discussion. What will be his excuse this year? He’s run out of reasons he won’t seriously engage the electorate or me other than threatening to have me removed from council meetings, no one bothers to attend,” observed Balwierczak.

BALWIERCZAK’S NEW BEGINNING AGENDA:

“A real redevelopment plan for the Passaic riverfront, a real Farmer’s Market for residents, smart corporate development in the Meadowlands and a plan to remove dormant and empty parcels on Ridge Road like MELRAYS’S, the largest unoccupied structure along Ridge Road. I predict should I win even Republicans will vote to overturn these random reassessments from our part-time mayor and real estate agent.”

“Republicans are already claiming 50% tax hikes should I prevail. May I remind them they would still hold a 4-2 majority? Silly and stupid accusations of tax hikes by me are not even possible. They, the GOP, would still be in full control of municipal operations.”

“Pronti is the problem. He is the architect of the animosity that exists, and his failed policies are now obvious for all to see. We can cut property taxes and grow as a local economy. He is the problem. He is the obstructionist responsible for the loss of two-party government,” said the candidate.
