Candidate Enjoys NA Memorial Day Festivities!

Meet Cengiz “Jim” Sever.

NORTH ARLINGTON – Under the threat of rain and cloudy skies, residents came out today to watch the annual Memorial Day Parade in which Bergen County Clerk John Hogan posed for a quick picture with Cengiz “Jim” Sever, the Democratic nominee for Borough Council who is running with Dennis Papile and mayoral candidate John Balwierczak.

Sever is a union tradesman and journeyman tile installer affiliated with Local #7 in New York. A homeowner, husband, and father of three who has publicly campaigned on issues such as property taxes, tax assessments, overdevelopment, and restoring responsible two-party government to the borough.

“Remembering our fallen heroes and recognizing our armed forces and first responders is what democracy is all about. Locally, our police, volunteer firefighters and EMT personnel keep North Arlington safe, and for that, I am personally grateful, offered Sever.

“Memorial Day is a reminder that freedom comes at a cost, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice are to be remembered and revered.”

Local Democrats are having a fundraiser this Wednesday beginning at 7PM at the Arlington Diner and all residents are invited to attend.

Tickets are $100 per person and can be purchased at the door.

To RSVP, call (201) 655-6497.

The fundraiser begins at 7:00 PM.
