It’s a New Day for North Arlington!

NA Democrats Make Strong Case for Change Come 2024.

NORTH ARLINGTON – Election day turned out to be very good news for local residents tired of one-party government as State Senator Paul Sarlo (D-36) defeated the Pronti-backed candidate showing that voters are exhausted by his one-party shenanigans and the local GOP! Voters are tired of being ostracized from the rest of Bergen County by the urbanization tactics of the local Republicans who would rather emulate Harrison, East Newark and Kearny rather than the suburban communities of Rutherford, East Rutherford, Carlstadt and Wallington!

Instead of broken promises and wishful thinking on issues like senior housing, the NA Republicans are fixated on urbanizing Ridge Road, by accepting campaign donations and contributions from out-of-town developers seeking to build out at when local residents oppose such rapid overdevelopment schemes.

All one needs to do is look at all of the empty storefronts on the Ridge, as many believe rolling assessments and this unbridled construction is chipping away at North Arlington’s small town character of being small, safe and suburban!

Once universally embraced, only Democrats now support retaining our character and values as a small and safe municipality. For more apartments means stress on essential services and eventually school overcrowding which nobody wants, especially teachers and administrators.

North Arlington is basically a one-mile square that is dominated by a cemetery.

Our development needs to be smart, strategic and essential.

While Democrats were making gains here in NA at the state and county level, local Republicans were sticking their nose into the political affairs of neighboring Kearny, where the Pronti-endorsed candidate was embarrassed and easily defeated! Pronti seems to be more about emulating Hudson County, not embracing North Arlington as the gateway to Bergen.

And local Democrats continue with their door to door efforts, led by John Balwierczak and John Yampaglia, both life-long residents who are home grown and graduates of NAHS!

In the last six months they have knocked on hundreds of doors, building momentum and getting the word out that their will be no more free rides for the followers of Pronti and the GOP.

Want to be part of a real change?Come meet the NA Democrats at their next meeting scheduled at 7PM, Wednesday, December 6th at the Arlington diner located a 1 River Road.

For details contact local Democratic leader Nick Antonicello at (201) 837-4277 and light refreshments will be served!
