North Arlington Democrats to host candidate fundraiser for council challengers John Balwierczak & John Yampaglia Monday, May 20th!

A night of traditional Italian dining at La Venere Ristorante, beginning at 6PM

NORTH ARLINGTON – The Democratic Municipal Committee of North Arlington is sponsoring a fundraiser for borough council candidates John Balwierczak and John Yampaglia on Monday, May 20th beginning at 6 PM at La Venere Ristorante located at 614 Schuyler Avenue.

La Venere is a popular eating establishment in the community and you can reach them by calling (201) 997-8778.

Tickets for the event are $100 per person or $1,000 per table and to purchase or RSVP, please call (201) 937-4277 or via e-mail at [email protected]. Make all checks payable to the NA Democratic Committee and you can pay at the door. The event is being hosted by local Democratic Municipal Chairman Nick Antonicello and Paul Juliano, the Chairman of the Bergen County Democratic Committee. Democrats are seeking to regain a foothold on the all-Republican Mayor & Council and are committed to preserving North Arlington as the gateway to Bergen County and not an extension of Hudson.

Balwierczak and Yampaglia are running under a North Arlington First agenda and the notion of protecting residents from the density, overdevelopment, urbanization and gentrification of Ridge Road. Local Democrats are committed to the notion of keeping North Arlington small, safe and suburban. Both Balwierczak and Yampaglia secured over 300 signatures in their quest for ballot access, the most of any local candidate in Bergen County in either political party.

“Rolling assessments, lavish luxury offices for part-time elected officials and a stream of wasteful spending uncovered concerns us as residents and we believe taxpayers deserve responsible two-party government and not the monologue of one-party rule. We are committed to a positive agenda for both homeowners and tenants and we intend to hold these long-term, embedded incumbents accountable to a record that has raised taxes, increased debt, and created ghost town conditions along Ridge Road. We intend to crack down on the unbridled construction of apartment rentals that have divided North Arlington into a tale of two communities,” offered both Balwierczak and Yampaglia.
