WHAT’S NEXT FOR NA?

WHAT’S NEXT FOR NA?                                                                                                          Local GOP already on the attack, still lacking a message or purpose for NorthArlington!

NORTH ARLINGTON – Just a day after the local municipal election for two seats on the North Arlington Borough Council, the two incumbents had a strange message for the community. Self-serving, typical and sometimes disturbing.

Instead of being gracious or expressing gratitude for an election where they ran unopposed, they seemingly chastised voters for not coming out in droves to support this self-styled coronation of sorts. For they emphasized their political loyalty to the Mayor, versus a practical vision for a new term of office and that’s the problem when following and not leading. They talk about direction, but the message is aimless and vague. They talk about “non-stop” progress, but can’t state a single achievement. Strange indeed.

They talk about “low taxes,” but support never ending rolling property assessments, while promoting over development on Ridge Road, more traffic, more density and an urbanization that resembles East Newark and Harrison versus a more Bergen County, suburban landscape like Rutherford, Carlstadt or East Rutherford!

And most of all they warn North Arlington of “snake oil salesmen,” an obvious reference to local Democrats John Balwierczak and John Yampaglia, two life-long residents of North Arlington and graduates of NAHS. Two individuals who preach keeping North Arlington small, safe and suburban and placing NA over the petty politics of political followers like Mario Karcic or Donna Bocchino.

For Karcic & Bocchino didn’t knock on a single door, shook one hand or made any attempt to engage the North Arlington electorate in three years, much less this invisible campaign. For their version of “loving North Arlington” is to do what they do: blindly follow a Mayor who has simply lost his way! A political machine that despises competition or can tolerate another point-of-view.

A political machine that fails to listen and has little patience for a rational discussion on what is best for North Arlington. For while this election cycle is finally over, a new one is beginning and for the first time in years, a sober and serious discussion of the issues will finally take place!

So as the holidays come and a new year to follow, truthful advocates like Balwierzcak and Yampaglia will offer the community a specific plan of action promoting a new and better agenda for North Arlington! A vision and agenda that places North Arlington first! To be apart of this impending change, contact this new team at 201-655-8497.

Have a great Thanksgiving North Arlington!
