PRONTI: NA MUNICIPAL TAXES AT ALL TIME LOW?

PRONTI: NA MUNICIPAL TAXES AT ALL TIME LOW?

Pronti’s propaganda is almost laughable!

NORTH ARLINGTON – According to an online pronouncement, Republican Mayor Dan Pronti is claiming municipal property taxes are “at an all-time low,” while claiming he has created more parking in a community plagued by density, urbanization and gentrification, hurting seniors the most.

Here is the latest rant by this Maga Republican:

Pronti goes on to claim North Arlington hasn’t lost it’s “small-town feel.”

Which North Arlington is he referring too?

More parking, less density?

Does he just make it up as he goes along?

Residents have a direct seat at the table?

It’s a 7-0 all-Republican monopoly that hasn’t seen an apartment proposal they don’t support!

NA Residents are not the out-of-town developers who fuel these local Republican campaigns, and it is the Democrats, who run under the slogan of small, safe and suburban that Pronti has laughed at for a decade!

And why is MELRAY’S still empty, dormant and for sale on Pronti’s watch?

Pronti and the all-Republican Borough Council is responsible for at least 100 new apartments constructed or currently under construction here in North Arlington.

Mayoral challenger John Balwierczak couldn’t contain his laughter after reading Pronti’s unbelievable political rhetoric.

“Is he serious? This is going to be an interesting campaign,” chuckled the candidate.

“People hate all the apartments. Homeowners despise his random reassessments. He has no one to blame this year. There are no Democrats to blame. This is all on him. This is his failed agenda in full effect,” blasted the life-long resident and graduate of North Arlington High School.

“My agenda is simple, end the rolling reassessments, go back to a 5-7 year revaluation, end the proliferation of apartment construction, initiate smart development along the Passaic and real investment in new ideas such as a Farmer’s Market and a complete audit of our financial condition in lieu of all this increased spending,” observed Balwierczak.

“Anyone can spend. But where is the vision? Who is looking for seniors? Certainly not this Maga Trump Republican.”

“There’s no clear, credible evidence that municipal taxes are at an all-time low. I am of the opinion that the allegation is unreliable and just not true,” observed Balwierczak.

Recent reporting and political commentary about Pronti’s administration repeatedly allege taxes have been rising, not falling.

For example, one 2025 report claims the local tax rate increased significantly over time (about 39% from 2017 to 2024). Other recent pieces (2025–2026) explicitly question or dispute claims that taxes are stable or low, stating that taxes have increased in consecutive years and that reassessments may be driving higher bills.

“Where is the proof of such a statement? Is there an audit that justifies such a proclamation in a year Pronti is seeking reelection? I doubt it,” offered Balwierczak.

Is the statement that municipal taxes are at an “all-time low” supported by any available data or evidence being shared with homeowners?

In fact, multiple local sources indicate taxes have increased in recent years, which directly contradicts Pronti’s election year political rhetoric.
