WHO’S RAISING ALL THE MONEY?

NA GOP, BOCCHINO RAISE $22,000 IN MONETARY CONTRIBUTIONS IN EXCESS OF $300, $4,450 IN CONTRIBUTIONS LESS THAN $300! TOTAL DEPOSITS: $26,450!

LAWYERS, BUSINESS OWNERS, BOROUGH PROFESSIONALS, CONSULTANTS, CONSTRUCTION COMPANIES, AUDITORS, ACCOUNTANTS & ENGINEERS POPULATE NA GOP ELEC REPORTS!

EVEN THE BOROUGH ATTORNEY DONATED $2,000!

NORTH ARLINGTON – Only Proving what we already knew, the latest GOP ELEC report with the State of New Jersey (click here) shows once again North Arlington Republicans raising unprecedented sums of campaign contributions from borough vendors and officials as previously confirmed by the video statements of Mayor Dan Pronti praising the efforts of his #1 lieutenant and “Quality of Life” Officer, James “Jimmy” Bocchino (click here for video).

Pronti, who owes his election to Bocchino appointed him to the part-time patronage plum of Quality of Life Officer for $8000.

Bocchino, a retired patronage employee with the BCUA and party leader for decades, is apparently responsible for the GOP’s massive campaign treasury and many believe just another reason why his daughter will not debate, much less discuss the issues in a public forum!

This year, Bocchino persuaded Pronti to have his daughter on the ticket along with longtime EnCap cheerleader and protégé, Kirk Del Russo despite a clear lack of qualifications to serve on North Arlington’s Governing Body.

The large sums of campaign dollars question who is really in charge of this new machine being greased by the old boss?

Even Bocchino himself was reimbursed some $361 for purchases made on behalf of his daughter’s campaign!

Based on the current fundraising levels not including the North Arlington Republican Club, the GOP could spend over $15 per vote when you include all aspects of their efforts!

WHY SO MUCH MONEY?

Many believe local Republicans want to eliminate responsible two-party government even though most residents support a healthy mix of Democrats and Republicans representing North Arlington while Pronti and Bocchino prefer a “monologue and monopoly” that is creating a new political machine that is transforming NA into an extension of Hudson County.

“They want to buy the election. They want to bond and spend away so that they can eliminate responsible governance. This is what political machines do all of the time,” offered one Democrat when asked to comment.

WHO PAID AND PRODUCED THE “FREE” VIDEOS?

Local Republicans led by Pronti and his council ticket refuse to disclose who paid for these partisan propaganda videos designed to confuse voters and get Del Russo, Cavadas and Bocchino elected. A second video has now been produced just weeks before the November election and many believe this is nothing more than disguising a political commercial as news.

“Nothing is for free, yet the Republicans lie and stall and refuse to disclose who produced and paid for these video messages? Is it a vendor who does business with North Arlington? Is it someone who stands to gain from creating these videos with work or a contract with North Arlington? Why won’t Pronti tell North Arlington voters the truth,” offered another disgruntled and angry opponent of the Pronti Administration when asked to comment.

Rumors abound that a grievance could be filed with the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC) asking if these partisan videos are really “in-kind” contributions to the Republican campaign.

GOP LOSING THE SIGN WAR!

Local Republicans feel the surge by local Democrats as their sign locations are now beginning to outnumber the GOP around town with the Democrats having a huge placard on Ridge Road promoting the Column 2 team.

The Republicans are lying about Democrats placing signs on lawns of residents who don’t want them and now further complain about Democratic lawn signs on lawns previously having GOP ones in previous election cycles.

But not this year!
