BALWIERCZAK: NO. ARLINGTON “IN CRISIS” WITH PRONTI IN CHARGE!
DOUBLE HOMICIDES, DRUG RAIDS, HIGH TAXES, RANDOM REASSESSMENTS, EMPTY STOREFRONTS AND FAT PAY HIKES FOR HAVE VOTERS SEEKING REAL CHANGE!
NORTH ARLINGTON – Before a jammed pack crowd of supporters and county officials, Democratic mayoral candidate John Balwierczak promised his audience “an historic upset win” that will bring responsible two-party governance back to North Arlington on November 3rd.
“North Arlington is in crisis. Homicides and drug raids have no place here. We have lost our way with Pronti in charge. He has abdicated any sense of leadership as the principles of remaining small, safe, suburban and affordable have been dismissed and denied by this real estate agent who hails from Bayonne,” offered the lifelong resident, homeowner and graduate of North Arlington High School.
“I have been walking and canvassing for weeks and people have had enough of Pronti, his overdevelopment of Ridge Road, decimation of our business district and destroying North Arlington’s longstanding premise of being a gateway to Bergen County.”
Balwierczak described Pronti’s two terms in office as a “role reversal” on progress, and a systematic destruction of what was once “a bedroom community that was affordable, safe and suburban.”
On hand supporting the candidate was his running-mates for council Dennis Papile and Jim Sever along with former Mayor Peter C. Massa, and former council members Pat Roche and Al Granell. Also in attendance was Bergen County Democratic Chair Paul Juliano, County Clerk John Hogan and candidate for Surrogate Judge, former Oakland Mayor Linda Schwager.

Balwierczak described Pronti as “too aloof and arrogant to debate,” and lacking the confidence to face the public and the electorate.
“He won’t go door to door. He intimidates residents at council meetings. He prefers a rigged deck. His record is a joke, and these murders and drug raids have the community in an uproar. Instead, he plays on the Internet like a child refusing to address the real issues that have NA in crisis mode.”
Here is Balwierczak greeting Hogan to the podium:
Former Mayor Massa served as the Master of Ceremonies and all in the room believe Democrats are poised for an upset come Election Day.
“24 years ago, Democrats toppled twenty-year incumbent Len Kaiser. I knew Len Kaiser. Len Kaiser was 100% NA. Dan Pronti is no Len Kaiser,” offered one longtime political observer of the state of this year’s mayoral contest.
“The reason why he won’t debate is because he is petrified of losing to John. The mere thought of defeat is incomprehensible to him. But we saw what happened in Belleville to his mentor Michael Melham. His record stinks. His leadership has been questioned and his reaction to the homicides and drug raids don’t pass the smell test,” offered one longtime Democratic observer.
“The time for real change after a decade of all Republicans is now.”
