BALWIERCZAK STEPS UP CANVASSING EFFORTS, TAKES HIS CASE DIRECTLY TO VOTERS!

WHERE IS MAGA MAYOR DAN PRONTI?

NORTH ARLINGTON – There is a world of contrast and difference between Republican two-term incumbent Dan Pronti, and the energetic and positive message of challenger John Balwierczak, trying to become the first Democrat to win a mayoral contest since 2010, some 16 years ago!

No Democrat has served on the Mayoral & Council since 2019, and all seven seats are occupied by Republicans.

This issue of responsible two-party government is critical and crucial since there is no debate or discussion among the seven Republicans as the Borough Council votes for whatever Pronti demands 100% of the time!

No council member has dared to challenge Pronti yet with a single “no” vote on anything, much less the rampant construction of apartments along Ridge Road.

While Balwierczak continues to pound the pavement, Pronti avoids Balwierczak, refusing to debate or discuss a litany of his failed policies and proposals that have urbanized and gentrified a community once known as the gateway to Bergen County.

“Thanks to the man from Bayonne, a real estate agent in bed with developers and builders who have constructed hundreds of unwanted apartments like OPUS, our business district has been decimated and our largest commercial parcel, the old MELRAYS property remains empty, unoccupied and dormant.”

“Forty senior units in a flood zone? No, thanks. Fat raises for himself and his rubber stamp council. No, thanks. Random property reassessments that are raising property taxes on working families and seniors? No, thanks. Data centers in the Meadowlands? Residents are rejecting Pronti at every door I knock,” said the lifelong resident and homeowner.

But most of all residents are just scared about the current crime conditions residents overwhelmingly reject, in particular the double homicide on Ridge Road and the federal drug raid on the Belleville Pike, a business mixed up in narcotics that has since closed. A business Pronti celebrated on his mayoral FACEBOOK page just two years ago.

“Dan Pronti is a retired cop. What has been his reaction to the murders or the drug raid? He hasn’t even acknowledged the latter. He is leading from the back of the line as usual,” observed the Democrat.

1 Republik, the sports bar located at 26 Ridge Road, has also been closed since the double murders last summer.

The shootings took place outside this establishment.

Balwierczak is calling for greater deployment on Ridge Road, especially on the weekends to ensure the safety of residents.

“This isn’t about being a Republican or Democrat. It’s about having a sober discussion of the issues, not a coronation of a mayor who disdains and despises the whole election process. He refuses to engage me because unless it’s a stacked deck, he retreats to his borough hall bunker trying to figure out how to eliminate competitive elections here at the local level. One-party Republican rule serves but one master and that’s Pronti.”

The candidate is willing to meet with any resident to talk about the issues.

“My number is 201-655-8497. I’ll be happy to stop by and chat, or you can e-mail me at [email protected] and I return all messages and answer all questions.”
