BOROUGH BONDS $510,000 TO TEAR DOWN OLD COMCAST BUILDING, PRONTI HAS NOW SPENT $2 MILLION DOLLARS TO CONSTRUCT A PARKING LOT ON RIVER ROAD! 

NORTH ARLINGTON – While the rest of New Jersey is cutting back and protecting taxpayers and homeowners, local Republicans have now sunk $2 million dollars into a parking lot on River Road.

You would think with property taxes rising, less spending and more debt might be on the minds of these Republicans, especially Mayor Dan Pronti, and council members Mario Karcic and Donna Bocchino, all seeking reelection this fall.

In a ZOOM meeting in the middle of the afternoon versus an actual public meeting, the all-Republican Mayor & Council voted unanimously to bond an additional $510,000 on a property no longer on the market paying property taxes.

Pronti & the Borough Council purchased the property last year for $1.5 million dollars to apparently construct a river view parking lot with no discussion or debate, typical of the lack of communication with homeowners.
