MAYOR & COUNCIL TO APPROPRIATE $4,089,262.30, APPROVE ORDINANCE TO EXCEED MUNICIPAL BUDGET CAP ANOTHER $780,908!
2026 BUDGET TO BE UNVEILED JUNE 11TH!
North Arlington – The all-Republican Mayor & Council is expected to expend just over $4M in revenue along with promotions within the NAPD on May 14th.
More importantly, the Mayor & Council is exceeding the mandated state budget CAP, from 1.5% to 3.5% or a $780,908 increase.
Total municipal spending is increasing at an all-time high as revenue collected for municipal purposes is closing in on $25,000,000!
The meeting is today, Thursday evening beginning at 7:00 PM at Borough Hall.

In addition, a shared services agreement with the Board of Education is to be approved.
A contract in the amount of $22,000 is to be approved with Cliffhanger Productions, LLC to provide “entertainment related” services for Celebrate North Arlington Day.
A resolution appointing Kimmy B. Gomes as a volunteer firefighter will be approved.
David Hudak is being appointed Captain with the NAPD at an annual salary of $185,811.55.
Jack Demczuk is being appointed Lieutenant with the NAPD at an annual salary of $170,469.31.
Matthew Konieczny is being appointed Sergeant with the NAPD at an annual salary of $156,393.87.
Andrew Porporino is being appointed Sergeant with the NAPD at an annual salary of $156,393.87.
