ATTACK DEMOCRATS FOR HAVING PIZZA IN LYNDHURST?

BALWIERCZAK: PETTY, MISERABLE & PATHETIC,

WHEN DOES IT END?

NORTH ARLINGTON – You would think the North Arlington Republicans would defend their miserable record of massive overdevelopment, high property taxes, rolling reassessments or fat raises for Dan Pronti then question the loyalty of Democrats who decided to have some pizza at Bruno’s?

For John Balwierczak, the petty and mindless attacks are embarrassing to the community’s political discourse.

“When I purchased some hot dogs on Ridge Road, I was attacked by Dan as if there was something strange about that. Now the Republican are trolling my every dining experience as if eating in Lyndhurst is some crime against humanity,” offered Balwierczak who is challenging two-term incumbent and real estate agent, MAGA Mayor Dan Pronti of Bayonne.

Balwierczak surmised that “we must be gaining ground on this hapless GOP ticket if they need to stoop this low.”

“You would think they would be more worried about Dan’s political flip-flops or refusal to debate me. Instead, they focus on personal and nasty attacks that are clearly backfiring with voters.”

“I have received calls from friends and supporters asking why are these Republicans so angry, bitter and nasty? This is the reason I left that party for greener political pastures,” offered the lifelong resident and homeowner.

Balwierczak fails to see the logic of the attack.

“We just had a fundraiser to a packed house at the Arlington Diner. We also have had events at La Venere Ristorante on Schuyler Avenue. If someone from North Arlington decides to dine in Lyndhurst, Rutherford or somewhere else, is their loyalty to NA in question? Are these people serious? It’s pathetic.”

Balwierczak countered by pointing out how the Ridge Road business district has been decimated by massive overdevelopment, gentrification, and urbanization led by Dan Pronti.

How many local businesses have closed due to Dan’s ridiculous redevelopment failures? MELRAYS closed on Dan’s watch, the largest commercial space in North Arlington. I worked for years at Arlington Pizza. I’m a big fan of PIZZALAND, and that business has endorsed me. I didn’t patronize The Peak. Dan did. The pot needs to stop calling the kettle black,” offered Balwierczak.

“Isn’t it obvious why he refused to debate with me? This kind of juvenile, sophomoric nonsense has no place in a vibrant grass roots campaign. He wants to discuss my eating habits and refuses to lead from the front of the line. He wastes $20,000 on taxpayer funded newsletters of him eating pizza and hot dogs and tries to pass it off as news when he won’t even comment on a federal drug raid of a business in his town, a retired cop no less,” blasted Balwierczak.

“When one political party acts in this fashion, the time has come to pick another party to lead, not embarrass themselves or North Arlington.”
