NORTH ARLINGTON – The Peak, which was part of a far wider federal raid, apparently is closed as coverings remain on the door and front window.

This photo was taken last week.

Here is the original article on the raid:

According to multiple news reports, the business commonly known as North Arlington Peak at 258 Belleville Turnpike was the subject of a federal law enforcement operation in April 2026. Reports indicate that the location was tied to a much larger narcotics investigation involving the DEA and other law enforcement agencies.

The business was implicated in a far wider investigation that allegedly resulted in the seizure of approximately 15 kilograms of fentanyl, 19 firearms, and more than $160,000 in cash, with numerous arrests connected to the overall operation.

The Belleville Turnpike location was one of the properties involved in that action.

The raid itself, which has been widely reported by local media and corroborated by broader coverage of the federal drug investigation remains a mystery to many residents since no borough official and specifically Mayor Dan Pronti (R) has failed to comment or even publicly acknowledge the incident some two months ago.

To date, no press release or statement has been issued.

Based on the federal charging documents and multiple local news reports, Ikechi “Ike” Anaele was one of 31 individuals charged in a large federal narcotics investigation centered in Jersey City. Prosecutors allege that the organization distributed fentanyl and cocaine and that the investigation culminated in coordinated search warrants and arrests on April 22, 2026.

New Jersey business records identify Anaele as the registered agent and sole principal of the LLC associated with the North Arlington business. Those reports also state that the Belleville Pike location was searched during the broader federal operation.

When the business originally opened, it was widely promoted by Pronti and members of the Borough Council which was posted on Pronti’s mayoral FACEBOOK page.
